Could not think of a better thing to do today than take some images of my models. Here's one, the 1/48th scale DML kit of the Fokker D.VII, done in the markings of Ltn. Gunter Von Büren of Jasta 18.
What I used there Huub was an old Polly S acrylic color from their WW I line simply called German Red. Subsequently Polly S was replaced by Polly Scale, but the German Red was discontinued. However, I found an exact substitute in Polly Scale's Railroad paints, Caboose Red. It was a perfect match.
Sterling workmanship man - This Fokker and your Grumman are superb. I have built a lot of DVII's in my time and never got the look quite where I wanted it...but you have it here. Well Done!
