    Typhoons from Beachy Head airfield?

I came across an article today, a great account of the low level intercept work the early Typhoons were involved in and it makes mention of a temporary forward airstrip on the cliffs near Beachy Head. I've never heard of it before, but it sounds fascinating. Anybody know anything about it?

RAF Friston is a few miles west, it was probably that one. It's in cfs3 but is represented as a 'proper' aerodrome rather than the simple landing strip that it was. Also used in the Piece of Cake series!
