As I understand, these were the sets of microfilm that were used in the operation/maintenance of the BAE Mosquito RR299 (prior to the crash in 1996). The full original master set of Mosquito drawings has been kept safe with de Havilland Aviation, now stored at Duxford, but with severely limited to no accessibility by outside individuals, unfortunately - meaning that those in England or elsewhere looking to possibly restore/build an original Mosquito to fly have had little to no luck in being able to access them. That's what makes finding/having these microfilm copies a big deal. Of course, meanwhile, flying Mosquitoes continue to roll out of Avspecs in New Zealand, with the next one set to fly in the spring of 2018 (to be the fourth airworthy Mosquito), but all based with owners/operators in North America.
