Just found out , Milton did a mod version.... soooo ... redone it starting with the fs9 version.

Except the glass is now the default poly color instead of clear. Good pilot figure BTW.

Oh, sorry. I thought you would get that. Every model has a base, i.e. default, color for the polygons. Colors can be assigned to them as needed, individually or as grouped together that make up a part. The texture bitmaps are painted over the part. In the case of the canopy, the poly base color should be clear or lightly tinted rather than an opaque base color, in this case a gray shade. Normally you would not paint a canopy glass part with the bitmap. You could use the alpha channel to force it to be clear but that can lead to anything seen behind the glass as also disappearing.
Cheers,
Captain Kurt

Looks good, must only have been how it was displaying in ConvertX in your previous shot.

As usual I have several different projects on the go at the same time, here's the latest shot of the FAA Hellcat skinning work... I added a bit more sheen to CK's Hellcat mdl using MDLmat.
... and I continue to work on some of Akemi's Zero models - this time it's the A6M3 mod22
Put some different markings onto one of Mortons repaints made for Akemi's ki-43-1k -
so we have 11 Sentai Oscars, ready for deployment to Rabaul & the Solomons ...
Coastlines done for Huon Gulf.
Lots of rivers to hand-fly, but that section will at long last allow reworking of
