I don't see where you have asked anything on the TrackHat forum. They are very good about support. I don't understand you saying they are not helping. Oh, yeah; and are you running the software as administrator ?

I found them very helpful when I first got it. I blv they are student types and just a couple of young guys. Perhaps give them a little time to reply as they may well be on vacation. I presume you have watched their videos on the install and running of it which is pretty self explanatory.

Meanwhile here are some independent videos to review

The administrator issue is what gave me headaches, Dave. Right click on the icon and select "properties". under the "compatibility" tab, tick the checkbox for "run as administrator".
Expect banging, belching and an occasional manly fart as you roar down the runway at full power. (I have found that the engine can make similar noises)

Ive done that to every exe file thats linked to the sim, being active sky, FSC, F1 traffic or any other config tool like ftx central rex textures to the flytampa config tool

I also went through and unticked the readme only box in the properties to all the folders that can be link to the sim allowing tools to update and make changes to files

I once a month I do these checks and havent had a problem since with configs or xmls for any sim related product

Ive even gone as far as changing the ownership rights of the folders in local and roaming and all the contents in my sim drive from admin to me allowing 100% control of every file 100% of the time

WIN10 does have some horrible fail safes but once your on top of them, its smooth sailing

    dave as requested

warning if you tinker with files you really shouldnt with, they can mess up your install of win10 or whatever your tinkering with, so make sure you do a restorepoint before playing with files you dont know or not familiar with

1, open up win10 file/file viewer and open up c drive and look for users and right click on the folder called users and select properties and click on the security tab

2, select users and check the permissions and select all boxes then click apply,

3, if it wont allow you to do that then click on advanced, then in the new box click change owner then click ok

4, then click on find now

5, then scroll through the list until you see your win10 login account and select and click ok

6, then you should see your win 10 account in the field

    7, click ok

8, the owner of all files in users should now be in your name

    9, click ok

    10, click yes

11, the ownership of all the files in user will be updated to you

12 once that is done it will ask to restart the permissions

13, click on your win10 log on id and tick all the boxes then apply then ok

also I recommend then right on the users folder again select properties then double check that read only box is unticked along with the hide box

    then apply and click ok

after all that your log in will have ownership all the files in that folder so any program that you use and change the settings will save and be remembered, unlike if the sytem retaining ownership where you can change settings, however as soon as you close the program the settings will revert back to what the system remembers and wants or worst case wont save at all as it has no right to edit the config file because the system is the owner

I also recommend that you do the same to your main fs folder and any folder/drive that you use programs that you can change configs as sometimes win10 is a bitch and uses its failsafes of rejecting changed cfgs

warning if you tinker with files you really shouldnt with, they can mess up your install of win10 or whatever your tinkering with, so make sure you do a restorepoint before playing with files you dont know or not familiar with

Dave I do this every time windows does an update as 99% of the time the folders that I change ownership to revert back to system

and once a week I also check the read only boxes are untick on the drives and folders that I rely the sim to use

I hope this helps, its solved a few of my problems with programs retaining settings

thanks matt,i will try this.ive seen these boxes before, but wasnt sure what to do..thanks

So, did you ever get this working ? I've had great success with FaceTrack Noir...

    Note this section-
    NEW! SimConnect SP2 protocol plugin:

The SimConnect SP2 protocol is required for the new Prepar3D V4. It can also be used to add headtracking to any other flight-sims supporting SimConnect. The installer can be installed "on top of" v200. More info can be found in the SimConnect Protocol section.
