well i am Hooked on the DCS spitfire i fly the Supermarine in Il-2 battle of stalingrad so much i had to get the dcs version all i can says is wow i cant stop thinking about this plane even when i am sleeping i am running threw the checklist still in my Dreams finding my self waking up feeling like i just finished a Flight in it they out did them selfs with this amazing aircraft i have not been into a aircraft this much in a very long time the only other Aircraft I Spend this much time flying in DCS is the UH-1H and the DCS F-5E plus Bell407 in Xplane 11 and when your flying them and operating them you cant help it when you dream about them Flying them and running threw the Checklists are you sleep

the sound of the Merlin engine is so amazing feelsl like your in a real aircraft and when you Start her up the Sounds are dead on its amazing how far flight simulators have come over the years and how fast they are becoming so real! with sound and everything i find my self geting surprised some times when the aircraft i am flying does somthing i didnt think it could do in the simulator

Wow. Sounds like you are loving the Spitfire. Great to hear.

DCS World has become an incredible simulator. I really don't even care what the scenery looks like (although it's pretty good as is) as my head is too busy being in the cockpit or focusing on a target. I am not quite hooked on the Spitfire yet. It is a magnificent reproduction, it's just that I was having trouble even getting it off the ground .

I am hooked on several other DCS World aircraft though. When I start learning about one I don't want to stop until I know everything it can do; which is a lot in DCS.

I am currently flying the Mirage, and I have just about finished the training campaign. It is so good I will probably go back and do it again.

It's amazing, I bought the A-10C when it was a stand alone box product, but never even installed it for years. After I finally did install it, which was after the introduction of DCS World, I regretted so much not getting in to it much earlier. I have no such regrets anymore.

    Cheers,

the spitfire is pretty simple to fly just trim it nose down and some rudder flys perfectly maybe we could get in a server and teach you how to fly it some time

Thanks. I have flown it a few times in the instant action dogfighting missions, and I can fly it OK, once I'm well away from the runway .

I've never had that much trouble with a plane before. I went through the training for startup, taxi etc, but whenever I tried to takeoff I ended up in the grass with a broken wing every time. I will jump back in it at some point. Practice makes perfect as they say.

I had similar issues (crashes) when I started with the Mirage after a long break. After all the changes to the model, which must have included flight dynamics changes, I couldn't land the thing without bouncing then smashing in to the runway. I have finally got the better of that now, after much research and practice.

    Cheers,

Really nice paints! Nice screenshots too. That lighting looks great.

The Spitfire is also turning into my preferred DCS module.

The only thing I am waiting for is the fine tuning of the rudder forces with dynamic pressure. Meanwhile I use modified controller curves....
