Ship folders

Should all the ships in a sim have at least a filler or blank document in the panel and sound folder?

From my understanding, the 'blank' files are not needed in ship folders.
A whole stack of my ships had the panel and sound folders empty.
You can, of course, copy and paste 'blank' files to those folders.

I know that all the stock ships are without anything in the panel or sound folders. There are some other ships in the library that do. I did find a missing .dp in a ship that will fix the one theater.
i am in the process of going back through ALL my theaters and checking both the FF and at least doing a quick load up of each mission.
Most of the issues I am sure are because of my own inattention to some detail. I have 13 different theaters and about 1/2 have no issue with FF but some mission issues.
For example I found a missing af_lst in one. Some of my theater installs are new, some are 3-4 years old and have little flying in them.
I plan to do some eliminating or combining depending on what I find. Example: I have Papua New Guinea missions in two different theaters.
Obviously I could be flying into eternity if I live long enough.
