    I am a little bit speechless

    Never saw that- but I cannot test in FSX
    I suggest you go back with the interior ONLY to prebeta model. That should work unless your FSX setup is a bit different

    Textures can make a difference too, but very usually only to surface not to shape.

    Look to the grond steering wheel

    Usually looks like that

    I'm seeing the same thing in FSX SP2. When I view the JG_JSII int FSX2.mdl file using ModelConverterX the wheel looks just like it does in FSX. Looking at the pre-beta int files using ModelConverterX I notice that the wheel looks normal in the JG_JSII int.mdl file. Very strange. Here's a pic of the JG_JSII int FSX2.mdl using ModelConverterX.

    edit- A quick update. I tried using the JG_JSII int.mdl file in FSX but received a message stating that the model could not be displayed. I then saved the JG_JSII int.mdl file to FSX format using ModelConverterX. The wheel now looks like the enlarged one. Crazy!

    JETSTAR II - FLAP SYSTEM Details

    For consideration:

    This is from a manual, along with a flap gauge I am working on that is based on an actual photo. I am new at XML, so getting the LE flap needle to rotate in reverse (using angle notation) is guess work right now

    Note that the flaps have only 3 positions - UP, 20 deg and 50 deg. The LE flaps extend first, but no TE flaps.

    Hope this is of some use

    JETSTAR II Flap Gauge - Finished

    The attached XML gauge now works as according to manual extracts, with the exception of intermediate 10 deg and 30 deg positions are included per the current aircraft.cfg file. If the model is changed to incorporate only 20 and 50 deg TE flap positions I will modify it accordingly.

    Simply place the folder in your gauges or panel folder and change the name of the flap gauge(S) in the panel.cfg file accordingly, leaving positions and sizes the same.

    Have to ask, is this gauge kosher for P3D V4?

    If you fly it. Is there an overhead in FSX ?

    Thanks

    Not sure if I did the panel.cfg correctly,
    Here is what I changed:
    gauge22=L-1329 Flap Gauge, 1225,473,55,55
    gauge48=L1329!Flaps_Indicator, 709,446,77,75

    This original gauge seemed to function okay.

    I did a before and after install of gauge; face of gauge looks the same and still functions. Was that the desired result?
    Did I miss something?

    P3D has negative texture order -FSX positive
    i am off computer some days

    try $vctexture = 1

    all the other vc texture = 0 Z factor lowest on a texture in MDLX texture editor

    I start again after I am back

    by the way

    usually MDLX OUTPUTS in seconds

    Jetstar takes minutes - same ?

    thanks Roland

    The lines should read L-1329 Flap Gauge!flaps, ----- NOT just "L-1329 Flap Gauge,"

    Hope it works for you

    Could you repost the "light panel" cfg from the 1st beta?

    Thanks

    FSX Interior Next TRY !!!

    HELLO

    Pls follow that exactely

    Put this model to your Jetstar folder

    model.2.zip

    From your model folder move the exterior model into model.2 folder

    in Model 2 folder ammend the model.cfg

    [models]
    normal=XXXXXXXX-->to your external model. may look like this-->normal=JG_JSII try BG + Lights FSX
    interior=JG_JSIIB-FSX Beta 2 B

    go to aircraft.cfg and ammend every aircraft entry

    [fltsim.0]
    title=JG Lockheed Jetstar II FSX BETA 2 N876BT
    sim=FSD_JSII
    model=2//FSX BETA 2A

    Then give it a try

    This looks wonderful, Roland. Thank you so much. The overhead, wheel, and the cup holders in the cabin, all look great. Before this the wood below the cup holders was showing to be above the cup holders themselves.

    I can confirm as well all looks good with the new model in FSX(A). Still some flickering with the gauges, but nicely improving.

    Hopefully, there will be a separate on/off taxi light switch. As is, the taxi light is on and can't turn it off. Maybe in the overhead where other the light switches are

  23. #348
    You can use the Shockwave lights gauge (if you purchased it) to turn off the landing light when the nose wheel retracts.

    I think that works with only FSX maybe P3DV3 - not P3D V4/5

    I'm sure that a cure for lights issue is on the way.

    The Shockwave gauge works perfectly in P3D v4.5 but not in v5 as expected.
