    New to PTA

Normally I don't use these sort of things but after seeing so many screenshots of how it enhances FSX and P3D I decided to bite the bullet and purchase PTA V2.51. But now I am taking tentative steps with its use. I am using the Matt Davies settings but won't object to anyone giving me help or advice as I am a complete noob.

The one thing I have been disappointed with is the colour of the sky in all versions of P3D and to a degree with FSX-SE. Even with clear weather using AS16 the sky is more of a grey that blue. How can I get the proper blue colour?

    Cheers
    Pat

Do you use REX textures Pat? There are also a number of freeware sky textures out there. Not sure about for V4 but there were some compatible with P3D V3.

Plenty of different sky textures to choose from if you are using REX. i understand they are currently getting their products ready for P3D v4.

REX4 works perfectly fine if you just point it to your v4 folder.

I too find the sky color to be washed out. It is too grey. I am waiting on REX to come out with their V4 update. According to their forums, it should be next week. Then I will see if I can get some color back into the sky.

I too used Matt Davies settings first up. I was quite excited at first but then found I too was stuck with a pollution coloured sky. Cant remember exactly how I got the blue back. I just messs around with things till they come good.

I wonder if you make a backup of your sky textures and delete the in game ones, then run p3d repair mode if that would work ?

Anyways, try the Thopat preset. I ain't going back .

When you hit the site you need to scroll down a bit . Maybe this fixed my grey sky ?
