Allied FS Group Beechcraft B300 Kingair

I have downloaded the FSX updated version of this aircraft and it flies great as good as the original FS2004. Want to do a repaint and I had no trouble at all changing colors on a texture with one problem: the new colors as happens often cover all the panel lines and rivets. The repainted textures were all done when AFG had a PSD layered paintkit which is no longer available and has not been since 2011 when they closed shop as a thread here says. The aircraft and repaints are still on AVSIM, Simviation, Flightsim etc. and they never had a problem with anyone posting repaints from their paintkit in fact encouraged it. Here is my request:

I have written twice to one of the repainters who had an email in his repaint download with no reply asking him if he would share his copy of the paintkit. Another repainter, Joe DeGregorio's email and website are out of order so no sense in writing him. Is there anyone here in the SOH who has the Allied FS Group PSD layered paintkit for this "bird" who will share their copy with me? Appreciate any help here.

    Hi
I have looked around but aside from some repaints I can't find the FSX version of the AFG Beech 300. Can some give me a steer?
    Thanks

    Hi,

Try these links. The download link(s) for the plane are near the top within the text.

    Cheers,
"Try to stay in the middle of the air. Do not go near the edges of it. The edges of the air can be recognized by the appearance of ground, buildings, sea, trees and interstellar space. It is much more difficult to fly there".

I've tried to get in contact with the original authors of the KA300 so I could get the source files for an FSX conversion with zero luck. I could do the conversion with MCX, but using the original source files come a long way and much more flexible. I have the paintkit for anyone that wishes to have it, just give me a shout

I'm with the FAA and I'm here to help you.....................Now gimme a hug!

    Here's My Results

Here are two images: The first image is with a layer of panel lines and screws; the second is of the original repaint with no layers in which it overlaid the panel lines in all the blue re-coloring. Can't decide now which I like better. LOL.

Personally, I think the paint with the visible panel lines has panel lines that are too prominent. On the King Air's that I have seen, the most visible lines are around doors and the engine exhaust will highlight some of the engine nacelle panel lines.
My computer: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC featuring an Intel 10700F CPU, EVGA CLC-240 AIO cooler (dead fans replaced with Noctua fans), Asus Tuf Gaming B460M Plus motherboard, 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD, EVGA RTX3070 FTW3 video card, dead EVGA 750 watt power supply replaced with Antec 900 watt PSU.

    That was my thought too

After I installed them I thought so too. I may try and color the ones on the blue manually because if I use "magic wand" then the ones on the white will be colored in a shade of blue. Oh well, nothing worth while is ever easy. Back to the Paintshop. Thank you for your comment. That is why I posted these. In the meantime I am going to fly the no panel lines version.

    Hi Chief,

Thank you. I have not talked with you here since NAS Alameda and my new computer the old one having been cooked in Hurricane Matthew last year. Here for ya all is a photo of the final version in which I removed all the panel lines layer and just added the "dots" layer or screws or rivets layer. I like this one and think I will fly this in my va. These are the "corporate colors" for My Holiday Virtual Airlines. This scenery is Cape Fear Jetport Executive airport on Oak Island North Carolina that I made in ADEx a couple years ago. Each year I take my flight sim students out here to the Flying School. There is also a skydiving school here too. I created the airport so that they could fly out of their "home field" for every lesson that looks like the real airport, well as real as you can get in FSX anyway. With all the experience I got in Sketchup I may try and recreate the real buildings when the mood strikes me and add them. These are all FSX no custom ones.

    Here ya go, Pete:

Do you have the download links for the aircraft and the update? There are also some good training videos for the Kingair on utube to download of the real aircraft.

If you guys need any real world questions answered just ask. Great freeware model that would be worth an update, but everything is driven to the newer 350.

Thank you for the offer really appreciated. Most everything now your are right IS the new Kingair 350 and the C90 especially with the Collins Proline cockpit. Carenado has a really nice version just released for both the previous C90 and the new C90GTX both payware.

    B300 v1.01

    Richard,
I have the V1.0 of the Beech and the paint kit but cannot find the V1.01. Can you tell me where I could find it ?
    Thanks,
    Joe

EDIT: Cancel my request. I finally found a repaint that referenced the update file name.
