    DCG

Is it possible to obtain the Dynamic Campaign Generator by Paul Lowengrin anymore. I had a copy years ago but I lost it. A nice tool to have. It avoided all the downloads you have to get and install for the current campaigns. Thanks in advance Brian

Ettico's Airboss 64 might be what you need:

Plus don't forget a lot of recent campaigns uploaded here are auto-install packs, which saves looking for obscure downloads...

Out of curiosity, I searched but only turned up broken links or only Il-2 versions. It may still be out there but my search engines didn't have any luck. I may be using wrong search parameters. Do you have a working URL you could share? Thanks
    Cheers,

After many attempts all I have located were the working links to IL-2 (and as per Captain Kurt dead links for CFS2) and surprisingly a few other flight sim applications that I wasn't aware of. Apparently, to me anyway, and I may be wrong, but a working link for CFS2 is nowhere to be located.

Here are two folders with all the DCG files (I think) that I have. Includes DCG itself (the last version 6.31 from 2005) plus hours & hours of campaigns, tips and info. You may have to take some of the tips and so forth with a grain of salt as many things have changed in the 12 years since this was released. Enjoy!

Thank you very much Boatz. I sure appreciate you sharing DCG and the associated files.

Such a shame the links for sof the old DCG Campaigns are dead.Burma 42 , AVG, and Japan 45 were good.Crimea was a good one also and was a self install. You may still be able to get pt on Ken Stallins site.

I have the stock DCG Cmapaigns all upgraded with the newest scenery and planes.not hard to do. Also I have about 7 that were writen but never published.

There was aBoB campaign done years ago and it was in the SOH library but not sure if it still is.

Version 6.32 was the final version of the Dynamic Campaign Generator. That was the version with the fewest bugs.

Many moons ago, I talked Paul Lowengren into fixing some problems with DCG, after he had lost interest in it. The result was version 6.31, which still had a problem, but Lowengren took a shot at fixing that, resulting in version 6.32. As I recall, the final fix helped, but didn't eliminate all problems entirely.

My AIRBOSS 64 utility works with DCG 6.32 on 64 bit machines. It's a click and go thing that fixes a couple of remaining mission bugs, fixes the formations so the planes won't collide, gives fighter escorts to bomber flights, and does other things to make the missions more "dynamic". It's designed to be run after a mission is generated. There is a semi-complicated setup required, but it's very simple once it's all set up.

The problem is, I don't think DCG 6.32 is available for download any more, and I don't recall whether 6.31 is workable with AIRBOSS or not. There was some problem with it, but I don't recall exactly what it was. I think it was a problem with fighters being too short ranged in Europe, which they still are even in version 6.32. However, that problem doesn't apply to fighter escorts once they've been attached to bombers, which don't have the problem. So if I remember correctly, 6.31 will work with my AIRBOSS utilities. There is one shortcoming in that the campaign mission briefings will no longer be accurate, because AIRBOSS changes the missions, and I never figured out how to change the campaign mission briefings correspondingly. Only the bombers' assignments are correct in the campaign mission briefings. AIRBOSS does provide a cryptic list of mission assignments, which list mission types and destination coordinates, but no target names.

I have personal copies of 6.32, but I've never obtained permission to upload it.

Maybe a bit late, but better late than never...

I found both files in an old hard drive where I stored CFS2 stuff. I've tried to attach to this post, but apparently I'm doing something wrong (probably too large files), so I'll upload to my MEGA account and add the links here:

Crimea Installation Path (treat like root).zip

    USD Romania Release.zip
