    Ted,
Realistically with my specs (see below) is XP11 a realistic choice? My Nvidea is quite old now and my CPU seems to be entry level under the advertised specs which is a bit of a pest as I only bought it in Feb this year. Would I be wasting my $$$?
    Intel i5-10600K 4.10 GHz 12 Core CPU
Asus ROG Strix Z590-E Gaming LGA1200 Z590-E Motherboard
    Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 Memory
Water Cooler - CORSAIR iCUE H100i RGB PRO XT
    Corsair 850W PSU
    MSI RX580 Radeon Armor 8Gb
    Windows 10 Home Premium 64
    3 x 21" Acer LED screens

I'm running an i5 2500k, so an older CPU than you are. But I have it overclocked at 4.4ghz. I have a GTX 970.

I just bought X-Plane 11 and run it with settings on high. I get solid 30 FPS for the most part. I think it's clock speed, not the architecture of the CPU that matters. My CPU and GPU times are both under 0.03 almost all the time at those settings, and are pretty even, so I'm taxing the CPU and GPU about evenly.

I'd say you need to be able to increase the clock speed of your CPU significantly, and get a better graphics card to use XP11 with higher settings.

As to the original poster, your must haves seem very oriented toward tube flying to me.

Thanks for the reply. Yes CPU is OC to 4.5GHz and stable. That is good news, though will update the graphics soonish.

Heck yeah go for it! You will notice people on youtube who have less than you are showing and it still is a viable simulator...

You may have to kick it up to 4GHz if you need help let me know...but I have seen systems less than yours run X-Plane 11 just fine.
