    R.I.P Ian Warren

I have just received some very sad news. One of our team, Ian Warren passed away this afternoon a couple of weeks after being diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer. My heart goes out to Ian's family.

As a lot of you will know Ian was an artist as well as being hand at other things aviation related. He was also a beta tester on a couple of sites that I am also a tester for.

Fly free my friend. You are now free of pain.

    Cheers
    Pat

I just saw a post over at the A2A Forum before coming here on my "morning rounds" before going to work.
He will be missed for sure.
My prayers go out to his family.

Awful news. Ian was a constantly bubbly, optimistic presence here at SOH. Fair winds, my friend!

Very sorry to hear this shocking news.

Ian was always a helpful, kind, generous and humorous man and he will be sorely missed by many.

I knew Ian a little from beta-testing for the Phantom. A fun, enthusiastic guy and a very good drawing hand. He was working on a set of hand-drawn replacement textures for our Coral Sea which went pretty far and he intended to upload here.
I'll check what he's sent me and might go ahead and submit them in his reminisce.

    Rest in peace.

    Awful news.
Ian was a super nice fellow and as a budding painter, he gave me a lot of encouragement.
He kept a positive outlook on things, even after being diagnosed with the cancer.

    Rest in peace, Ian.

What unbelievable tragic and utterly unexpected news.. He seemed so full of joy last time we communicated. Ian had a great part in the graphical outcome of the 'Douglas C-47 VVC' by providing me with a truckload of HD photos of the cockpit of Douglas C-47B Dakota NZ3551 residing in the Air Force Museum of New Zealand at Wigram.

I can't really believe it and i can't tell how extremely sad it makes me feel.

I shall remember Ian as a very helpful and joyful, aimable person full of humor because that's what he was. Whenever you might fly Manfred Jahn's C-47 with VVC think a minute about Ian because he's there with you through his highly appreciated help to put that VVC together.

My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.

    R.I.P my good friend

Wow, another influential member of the flight simulator world gone. Never met him personally, but just reading his posts and looking at his work shows that he was one of those people who made this community to what it is now, A community of people who love to share their qualities and expertise.

As I am a huge fan of Manfred Jahn and Jan Vissers C-47, I will always honor his work as a participant in this project and everything he has provided to this amazing hobby.

My thoughts go out to his loved ones.

Keep your wings level.... R.I.P Ian,

A great loss to the flight sim community and to us at Just Flight. Ian was a long-serving and highly valued member of our beta team and he brought a lot of enthusiasm and humour to every project he was involved with.
