Thread: ACHTUNG ! Ein neues Flugzeug Messerschmitt Bf109G-6

The gun packs will probably be part of the model, for the simple reason that weapons don't seem to appear in the VC, and the barrels are visible from the cockpit. That said, we are tailoring models to fit the paints, so some will have them, some will not.

Right now, we are focused on getting the basic G-6 done. Once that is finished, we will consider future projects. Could that involve additional models of the 109? Certainly a possibility...

So we've decided the Bf109G-6/R6 will be a unique model - gun gondolas are part of the wing model. Here's the final texture.

    Cheers,

    Captain Kurt

    Thanks all.

Here's the drop tank. The third member of Daedalus Design Group, Oglivie, did the SCASM work on this one. Also note the detailed tank mounting rack.

    Cheers,

Introducing the pilot. He's still in development but getting close. His head is animated so he constantly looks around.

    Cheers,

A Special Thank you To Wolfi.....

I'd like to offer a special thank you to Wolfi, for making the source of his Japanese pilot available. His pilot served as the basis for this figure, and saved quite a bit of work.

    Thank you Wolfi!!

    Hi all,

We are in the middle of finishing the cockpit right now, so we are getting close to completing the basic 109G-6. There will be specific variations depending on the skin - aerial mast height, compressor bump, umbrella mount flange, /R6 gun boats, etc. I'll show you more when we get through the cockpit work.

In the meantime here's a preview of what will come next after we finish and release the basic G-6. Extremely early development stage at this point.

    Cheers,

    Captain Kurt

Still working on cockpit development as you can see from the pics. Paul is getting a lot of detail into it.

    Progress Report

    Hi;

as Captain Kurt is in transit Stateside, I thought I should give a brief update to progress on the Gustav.

The update to the visual model is now complete. All I have left is cleaning up the VC a bit, and completing the distance models. With Captain Kurt out of commission, the textures are stagnant, but he should be back in action in a few weeks, and I hope to be finished with the "basic" Bf 109G-6 in time for his return. I've also completed work on the "tall tail" for the G-6, so that variation on the basic model will probably be released concurrently.

Slowly but surely, the finish line approaches........

Love it!!! Any cockpit instrument panel pics yet?

  21. #46
Here's the 2D. The model itself uses this panel texture. The VC is being finished up.

    Cheers,

    Captain Kurt

Payware quality. Without a doubt! We're pretty ******* fortunate to have you guys doing what you do.

    We're having fun.

I've been able to do a little more painting in the last week but Paul has gotten way ahead of me LOL.

I leave Friday to Long Beach to pick up my car which was shipped from Oahu. Since we will drive it back to Colorado, my wife and I have decided to make a road trip out of it and visit Sequoia and Yosemite parks, Reno and Lake Tahoe on the way back. I'll be back on 8/2 and then we should be able to start working on finalizing the first releases.
    Cheers,

    Captain Kurt

Have a safe trip. If you've never been to Yosemite and Sequoia, you'll love it. Visited there when I spent some time in Fresno. Make sure you go to Kings Canyon also. Hit some of the fruit stands outside of Fresno. Softball size peaches, outstanding.
