CV-9 USS "Essex" WWII for FSX/P3D

    Hi,
Not many interesting WWII carriers on the "market" (I was looking good carrier for model of AH Helldiver) so I started separated topic about my mod for the model of Collin Glendinning (from the AH SB2C Helldiver topic http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforum...=1#post1078184 ) done for CFS. I did conversion for P3D, solved some of problems with model in FSX/P3D, added new textures (especially deck) for two kind of USS Essex (from 1944 and 45), used another mod (of roger-wilco-66 and Hooky722) but did corrections and proper textures for aircrafts from Essex (and converted to P3D). It works as AI now also with AICarriers2 and TacPack (but model must be tacpaked for VOR). I hope You like it. Ideas are welcome but I am not a modeler so any help is welcome :- ). Model will have clear option, launch and recovery config. I will add it on SOH for sure (in the one package).

    The preview 1944 version:

You can use arresting hook and cables. Its easy on AH SB2C.

    Simply stunning!
Striker, listen, and you listen close: flying a plane is no different than riding a bicycle, just a lot harder to put baseball cards in the spokes.

    Beautiful.

How do you control the visibility of the deck aircraft from fore, aft or none? Or is that possible?

If at first you don't succeed, try, try,try again. ... or go read the manual.

    Looks good!
Do you guys now want a three tone Essex scheme for the 2C as well?
You can find most of my repaints for FSX/P3D in the library here on the outhouse.
For MFS paints go to flightsim.to

When you use AiCarriers you will pick if you want launch, recovery or empty. And I assume if you use the carrier in
TacPack you will do the same.

You can always use slew option from P3D or FSX or cinematographer mode in P3D for example (Shift+F5).
