Ooops, you're right! Sorry about that! As a stopgap, copy the correct texture from for instance my V15 paint in there, or wait till this weekend when I can fix it..
You can find most of my repaints for FSX/P3D in the library here on the outhouse.
For MFS paints go to flightsim.to

ive found since the update i no longer can lower the re canopy and raise the guns, has the key assignments changed from doors to something else

  4. #279
The turtleback and rear guns animate with the "Ballast valve (open/close)" command. You'll probably have to assign a key to it.

If there is an issue with an aircraft, in this case the Helldiver and the way things work, the best way to get an answer and solution to the problem is contact the developer directly in their local website. SOH is not the place to solve problems. It is encouraged to ask questions if issues exist but the real help comes from the creator of the aircraft. The Helldiver is obviously a fantastic addition to our hobby and with the recent improvements has only gotten better. Comments about the aircraft and its functions are encouraged to make this aircraft one for the ages.

    To reiterate:
Contact the developer directly on their website. SOH is not a Support Forum.
    Thank you in anticipation.

Inasmuch as I agree, I think we are overlooking something.

Whenever I encounter an issue with a new addon, I come to SOH to see if anyone else is encountering the same issue. Individual systems and FSX setups are different, and its possible the issue is unique to my setup.

Developers are often small companies and very busy, and I really don't want to bother them until I've confirmed the problem lies with the product. I could go on with other related developer communications, but lets let it lie here...

The goal here is to all be friendly and helpful and have some fun..

Duckie, to make this clear, SOH can be a great help in identifying issues. Solving the technical issues are best handled by the developer directly. If a problem is noticed and identified here it needs to be done respectfully and then directed straight to the developers website. This is what is meant by the word problems. This has been stated over and over again. This has been a great informative thread but frankly I have resisted closing it because of some very good input despite some the the issues that have occurred due to unfortunate comments. Enough said.

The problem as I see it is you can only get to the developer via e-mail, which means you are the only one getting an answer. With answers on this web site everyone gets the answer.

Whereas via email the developer is attending to your problem. not trying to field many issues/complaints/queries at once. They're not obliged to be here (it's not their site...), nor can this site compel them to be here and answer questions. Anyway, email is your only option now, or maybe Facebook.

Why not mail the dev and work out a solution together and then share the result here? Then the problem is adressed as well as a solution is given. That's also better for people searching for a specific problem and does not lead into potentially dead ends (or threads going sour).

Hi, sorry for the delay. It's a REX water setting for the surface texture, but the color and depth is from ORBX Catalina Island scenery.

Hi, It's ORBX Catalina Island. And a challenging airport. It's one of their best IMO.

    Hi,
downlaoded Today again (1.3 version) but I see this annoying sound bug didn't solved yet till now by AH.
The bug is present only in VC from pilot view, this "bang, bang..." in the air, maybe they are wrong settings of the wind effect in this model ...).
    No this problem outside.

    Did You notice it too?

    Hi.
Can someone please help me with the tailhook animation on the hellcat.

I have sent two help requests to Bazzar at AH but had no reply.

I am using FSXA on win7 64 bit.

All my other aircraft tailhooks work perfectly but the one on the helldiver just "twitches" but does not lower with either my joystick button command or shift-Q I think the keyboard command is.

    Cheers Chris

When you say sent 2 help request to bazzar did you email him or just PM through this forum? The former should have worked ( and if it didnt I'll need to hop onto the mail server and check why ) if it was a PM then that wont obviously work.

Just tested in fsx:A and it is working correctly. using shift+q

  24. #299
If it is twitching on the ground, it will. The tailhook is configured NOT to work on the ground, for obvious reasons.

  25. #300
Thanks for your help.I sent two support requests through the aeroplane heaven web site.Still no reply.

Bazzar all my other aircraft allow me to lower the hook whilst on the ground!!!

    Cheers Chris
