It's not useless for developers, only for repainters.

OMG, looks like painters will have to take up modeling just to use Quixel. That would be a lot of talent in one package.

BTW, Wellis is wrapping up his A-20 Havoc work and will be starting on the Marauder interior very soon.

Thanks Milton. Took me a lot fiddling to get a texture I liked and I'm sill tinkering with it.

    Icon18 B-26 flight test transcript

An interesting read, the transcript of flight testing the B-26. I wish we had that for other, aircraft, too. A rare find!

It is a neat document to review but it appears to be for the DOUGLAS B-26 (later A-26) but maybe you knew that? Still, a good find. Thanks.

Oh I was so fixed by reading the document that I seemed to have overread a crucial fact :-) But interesting anyhow. I like the way the test pilots described the flights. And the hand written formulae that were put in after typing down the document. Their form of wysiwyg back then....

One more B26 Pin Up, "Idiot's Delight", 575th BS, 391st BG. Thanks to Butcherbird17 for allowing me to relieve him of this repaint!

Now on to get me some of that A-20 if there's anything left!

Don't worry, still lots to do!
And great work on your B-26 paints!
You can find most of my repaints for FSX/P3D in the library here on the outhouse.
For MFS paints go to flightsim.to

That would be a real sensation, however, the modelers would need to make different uv maps for that. It's not complicated in my opinion, just different. It might be even easier as classical approaches as soon as one understands the logic behind it.
I could assist in that since I develop an aircraft (just the vc in the current process) right now. I'm sure there are some devs here like Gordon (gman) who could share some experiences in assisting to bring this method forward.

Not yet available as the aircraft is not yet available. Will be a while yet until we get the interior textures completed.

Beautiful work on the B-26 Steve looking forward to fly them. As there were around 7500 DB7s/A-20s build there are still quite a few repaints possible.

I don't want to hijack this thread, but I have just finished the nose art work for this one.....

    Cheers,
    Huub

I guess an alternate question is what is The Plan? In other words when the interior is complete, is everything (including these beautiful textures) going to be compiled into a single download?

I've been tracking the comments and following this thread since the beginning and applaud everyone's efforts, but I'm still unclear as to what happens when the (paint) dust settles.

I give permission for my bare metal paint, specular and bump maps to be included in the final package whatever that may be. No need to ask me.
