Back when I modeled the Marauder, the 3-views and reference pics were of little help in getting the nose Plexiglas just right.

The best pics I had that could be used for reference were of this restoration. Unfortunately the nose plexi frame was not accurate for the WWII period aircraft.

Duckie brought this to my attention as I was mistakenly under the belief that some aircraft from some plants had this framework.

So, after some analysis and review of the model, I decided to make it right. I have sent the models off to Steve to check them over.

Attached is one of three pics I used for reference in the original design, and the model after the change.

I hope you like this more accurate version.

BTW, if you want to do the restored version shown in the attachment, you had better save a copy of your current model. :-)

Milton, the new nose looks GREAT! No adjustments needed on my end at all. Thank you very much.

    First thanks

and second-that may happen. We had making the TA-152 same exercise when we took measures @ Smithonian, later to find out (Mathias) that they mounted the wrong wings ( 190D11 ) to the plane( and told them )

FSX gets more and more a historical collection about planes history

    Best regards

    Thanks very much, gents.

All the markings are completed. Now the work begins, modifying and arranging the weathering layers for the "2-tone" finish, diffuse alphas, specs, etc! But it's all good.

I don't suppose anyone is working on a 640th BS livery for this, are they? Were I a better painter then I'd have a crack at one, but I neither have the source information or ability to do a good job of it.

I've got large chunks of Little Walden done, though, if anyone has something to fly out of it?.

Very much appreciated Milton, Rick. I love OD and Gull Gray! I have yet to unlock the mystery of natural metal, but I'm working on it!

Beautiful work Duckie! Al repaints you did so far look absolutely stunning, but this olive drab/bare metal one is definitely my favourite so far.

Thanks Milton. It's name is what drew me to it. The scheme is about the same as doing a 4 color camo scheme, except that one of the colors is "bare metal!" But now it's done, it should be good for a couple more like it.
