    Thanks for the first reference Andrew. I've just bought a copy of "The Bomber Command War Diaries" form the Book Depository. Together with Max Hastings' book "Bomber Command" the operational history covers all raids from 1939 to the end of hostilities.

    Good morning,

    Here are a few more...

    "title_string"=Battle of France (RAF) - Whitleys raid the rear areas
    "summary_string"=Listen up, men! The Germans continue to use all of the available crossings over the Meuse to get their supplies & reinforcements to France. Whilst other bombers will hit targets in Belgium, your bombers will focus on Sedan, which is still being used as a major crossing, & where German forces have also established a vehicle depot. Let's knock out these targets, and show the Germans we will defend our Allies and our own forces to the last!
    "objective_string"=During the night of 23/24 May, Bomber Command continued their tactical support for the French by sending out twenty-four Whitleys to raid targets west of the Meuse. Without any further specifics, the focus of this night's raids were on the Meuse River crossings. With Sedan still being utilized as a major crossing by the enemy, this raid assumes the bridges and a vehicle depot as primary targets for the attack. There is no additional information available on actual targets, success rates, or any losses.
    "intelligence_string"=Once airborne, you will quickly form up with other Whitleys & fly southeast toward France. Once you reach the Belgian coastline, you'll continue inland until you reach the Ardennes. As you near Sedan, a part of the bomber formation will hit a German vehicle depot, while other flights attack munitions factories and the bridges along the Meuse. After hitting your targets, withdraw and turn northwest for England, leaving the Belgian coast at Ostend. Once you return to Dishforth, you will retire until dusk. Caution: Fuel will be a concern for the raid, do not loiter for long over the target!
    "player_aircraft_name_string"=AW Whitley MkV 58 Sqn Bomber Command
    "airfield_string"=England - Dishforth

    "title_string"=Battle of France (RAF) - Darkness across the Meuse
    "summary_string"=Attention, pilots! The Germans continue their use of the Meuse crossings at night to reinforce units in Belgium & northeastern France. They've seized a bridge at Givet, and a French munitions plant at Givet, where they're making weapons for Panzers! Your bombers will attempt to halt their efforts by destroying these factories at Givet, whilst other bombers raid the bridges at Dinant. If successful, this will slow the enemy effort to resupply & help prevent them from pushing our forces into the sea!
    "objective_string"=During the night of 23/24 May, Bomber Command continued their tactical support for the French by sending out forty-nine Wellingtons to raid bridges along the Meuse River at Yvior, Dinant, and Givet. This was a continuation of thier effort to slow up any reinforcements being sent from rear areas to the front. Any information other than the targets is scant; there are no reports of direct hits on the bridges, any bomber losses, or further details on the night mission.
    "intelligence_string"=After takeoff, you will rendezvous with the other Wellingtons and cross the North Sea into Belgium. Coming ashore above Ostend, you will continue to Givet, where you will strike a munitions plant that is supplying parts for Panzers. Just prior to your attack, part of the formation will split to raid the bridges at Dinant. After your strike is completed, form up and head back over Belgium and the North Sea to England, where you will rest for the night. Good luck!

    "airfield_string"=England - Marham

    "title_string"=Battle of France (RAF) - Choke off resupply networks
    "summary_string"=Attention, men! While we have the cover of night, you will set out to hit enemy troop concentrations and a supply depot near the Meuse River. Tonight, your Battles will raid the towns of Florenville and Libramont, where the Germans have seized a rail yard and set up a ammo dump. If we can hit these targets hard we'll hamper their ability to resupply and buy more time for an evacuation!
    "objective_string"=During the overnight of 23/24 May, thirty-seven Fairey Battles set out under cover of darkness to hit troop concentrations & supply depots at Fumay & Montherme in France, as well as Florenville and Libramont in Belgium. There are no records which indicate success or failure of this attack, nor are there any reports on losses. It is assumed that the AASF were flying the raids from French soil, but this cannot be confirmed. In addition, this mission focuses attention on the attacks in Belgium, since the Battles have struck Fumay repeatedly.
    "intelligence_string"=The town of Libramont lies about 150km northeast of your airfield. Once airborne, you will join up with the other Battles and head northeast toward Libramont, using Florenville as a reference point to start the attack. Your twenty-four Battles will strike the railyard and factory complex, while the remaining thirteen Battles will hit Florenville from the north. Because you'll release from 3,000 feet, keep your speed high and do not loiter above this area. When finished return to Gaye, where you'll retire for the night. Good luck!

    Good evening,

    Here are the last two for 23 May, 1940...

    "title_string"=BoF Kampfgeschwader - Aggravation around Arras
    "summary_string"=Zuhören, Besatzungen! Our recce planes have seen the Allies using the town of Soissons as a staging area for a possible attack along the Somme. Your bombers will attack this French town, and hit the railyard and other targets before the British and French are able to utilize these materials for any counterattacks. Let's show the enemy that we will not be thrown back onto our heels!
    "objective_string"=On the afternoon of 23 May, He-111s of II/KG 55 were jumped northwest of Arras by Hurricanes of 1 Squadron. These German bombers were escorted by Bf-109s of I/JG 3, and were en route to strike enemy troop concentrations and supply dumps near the town of Soissons. From the available records, a Heinkel bomber had to force-land, and another could have been claimed. One RAF Hurricane also suffered damage. The effectiveness of the raid is not known.
    "intelligence_string"=Once airborne, you'll fly northwest & climb up to 5,000m. The other bombers will stay at staggered altitudes. To throw off the British, you will feint toward Arras, picking up the escort 109s north of Cambrai. As you pass just north of Arras, you will turn south-southeast for Soissons. Over the town, the target will be the railyard, while other flights will hit other parts of the railyard or any nearby targets. The fighters should keep the enemy away, but expect to be intercepted near the target area. After you release, continue back toward Germany and return to base.
    "player_aircraft_name_string"=GC_He111H6
    "airfield_string"=Germany - Leipheim

    "title_string"=Battle of France (RAF) - Sqn Ldr White's fateful flight
    "summary_string"=To your Spitfires, men! It's time to work off that breakfast! Your flight will patrol the coast from Calais to Dunkirk, looking for any German activity, especially recce aircraft. We must ensure we keep our forces remaining in France safe from attacks. Be sure to have the radio on; HQ is monitoring the area around Amiens, and you may be sent there if things get hairy. Be ready for anything, and make sure to get home safe, we have a busy day ahead!
    "objective_string"=This mission is a quasi-historical amalgam of three events. The first is the primary mission, 74 Sqn's early patrol from Calais to Dunkirk. On this flight, White's Spitfire was damaged downing a Hs-126 & force-landed at Calais-Merek, where he was later rescued. A Bf-109 was also brought down later on near Dunkirk, along with another 74 Sqn Spitfire to AA fire on another patrol. The third event was a patrol by 73 Sqn over Amiens where Hurricanes engaged Bf-110s. The Brits claimed two, with one being a probable. One Hurricane was written off after landing. Spitfires were not involved, but you have a 50/50 shot of flying either mission.
    "intelligence_string"=For this mission, fly with messages on. Once in the air, you'll head southeast & climb to Angels 4. You will recieve your orders either to head to Amiens, or patrol from Calais to Dunkirk. If you patrol the coast, look for German spotter planes and destroy them, while watching for fighters. When you reach Dunkirk, return to Rochford. If you fly to Amiens, sweep the area over the city & engage any German fighters, but look out for any friendly fighters in the area. Make sure to watch the fuel, you should leave the area with no less than 40% of your fuel remaining. Good luck!

    Good evening,

    The Stuka campaign has now been completed for Part I...a total of sixteen missions.

    "title_string"=Battle of France (Stuka) - Prowl over Calais harbor
    "summary_string"=Zuhören, Besatzungen! The British are isolated at Calais, & your Stukas are being sent out in order to prevent their ability to resupply and break out to link up with other Allied forces trying to reach Dunkirk. Find and attack any enemy shipping in the waters near the port, and if you have the chance, you can attack the harbor itself. Show the British that we will not rest until we expel them from the continent!
    "objective_string"=On 25 May 1940, Stukas of StG 2 attacked British shipping in the waters just off Calais harbour. As they were forming up for their attack, Hurricanes of 17 and 605 Sqns tore into them, shooting down five, as well as a Do-17m, without any loss. By this point, Boulogne was captured, and Calais was now isoloated, leaving Dunkirk as the single remaining French port that the Allied forces could evacuate from. In order to enhance your ability to survive an escort of Bf-109s and 110s have been provided, but this historically unlikely.
    "intelligence_string"=After taking off, you will fly northwest and climb up to 3,250 meters. As you pass Cambrai, you will meet up with the escort & continue to Calais. Over the port, follow the other Stukas down to raid the ships. You have the option of attacking the harbor. The escorts should be able to handle any fighters, but prepare to take evasive action if needed. Once finished, fly back to Vassincourt. You may release your drop tanks near Calais, but fuel will be tight on this flight, so don't loiter over the target.

    Good evening,

    Okay, so I lied...

    "title_string"=Battle of France (Stuka) - Clipping wings of the Falco
    "summary_string"=Aufgepasst, kameraden! The attack in the west has begun! To help pave the way for our ground units, we must prevent enemy air forces in the area from interfering. Your Stukas of I/StG 2 will raid the airfield at Brustem; this is a Belgian fighter base. Hopefully, we can catch the enemy fighters on the ground, and prevent 'em from ever getting into the air!
    "objective_string"=On 10 May, the Germans began their Attack in the West, and the Stuka was heavily involved from the start. On this day, they struck airfields in Belgium and Holland, including the airfield at Brustem, in Belgium. Between Stukas & Bf-109s which bombed and strafed the airbase, some fourteen Fiat Cr-42 Falco fighters (3/II/2) of the Royal Belgian Air Force, were either destroyed or badly damaged on the ground. No German losses were reported.
    "intelligence_string"=The aerodrome at Brustem lies to the southwest of your base. After getting into the air, form up with the other Stukas & climb up to 3,000 meters. Over the airfield, focus on attacking fuel stores, ammo crates, and hangars, then use your ammo to strafe targets of opportunity. Bf-109s will also join you over Brustem to strafe the airbase. Once finished, return to Monchengladbach.
    "player_aircraft_name_string"=JU87B Stuka 2-I-StG1 Maj.Werner Rench
    "airfield_string"=Germany - Monchengladbach

    "title_string"=Battle of France (Stuka) - Level Le Culot aerodrome
    "summary_string"=Kamerad, herhören! The first day of airfield raids have grounded much of the Belgian Air Force, and you will continue the work today. Your Stukas will target the major Belgian aerodrome at Le Culot, & hopefully you can put the aerodrome out of action. Future operations will depend on us having control of the skies, so do your part to make it happen!
    "objective_string"=This is a quasi-historical amalgam of three events on 11 May, 1940. The Belgian airfield of Le Culot was strafed twice that day by Bf-109s, damaging Gladiators & Hurricanes. The Stuka mission flown was actually to raid Vissenaken airfield, but given that this lay in close proximity to Beauvechain, the Stukas in this mission raid this airfield instead in a coordinated attack at about the same time of the second strafing by Bf-109s of I/JG 1. No German losses were recorded.
    "intelligence_string"=Once airborne, you'll fly east-southeast to reach Le Culot airfield. This is a major Belgian airfield, and the base is bristling with hangars & aircraft. As you dive, focus on hitting hangars, fuel stores, & ammo crates. There's a chance that the Belgians may try to get their fighters airborne, but if this happens, the Bf-109s coming in at low level should draw them off, leaving you in the clear. Good morning,

    Here is another mission for 11 May...

    "title_string"=BoF Jagdgeschwader - Jump the RBAF at Jeneffe
    "summary_string"=Kameraden herhören! Initial thrusts into Belgium & Holland are now well underway, & the Luftwaffe must continue pounding the enemy airbases to keep their planes on the ground! To this end you'll make strafing runs at Jeneffe, while Henschels pummel the larger structures. Let's show the Belgians that we won't allow them to wrest control of the skies back from us!
    "objective_string"=This is another quasi-historical amalgam of three events on 11 May. The main focus is on the attacks by Henschel Hs-123s from II(S)/LG 2 on Jeneffe and Wildren-Duras airfields, as well as a separate strafing run by Bf-109s of I/JG 1. The aerodrome of Jeneffe has been selected for all three events. The Hs-123s destroyed several Belgian aircraft on the ground, & no Luftwaffe losses were recorded. You fly this mission as a Bf-109 pilot.
    "intelligence_string"=Once airborne you will remain at only 500m as you fly over Germany & into Belgium. As you approach Jeneffe, you will brush near the city of Liège. By keeping low and fast, you should avoid most of the flak. Over Jeneffe, focus on strafing fuel stores, aircraft, & ammo crates, while the Henschels will strike the larger structures. Once you lay waste to Jeneffe or you expend all your ammo, withdraw to the northeast & return to base at Bonn-Hangelar.

    Good morning,

    I just finished up my semester last night, and now have about a thirty-five day window to really make a dent in this, and hopefully finish it up!

    "title_string"=Belgian Air Force - Surprise the enemy Stukas
    "summary_string"=The Attack in the West has commenced! An German formation has been sighted heading for your base at Brustem. You must get into the air & attack 'em, hopefully getting them to abort! Luftwaffe units overran Poland by hitting their airfields hard and destroying fighters in the air right from the start, and they might be trying to do it again to prepare for a ground invasion! Let's show the Germans that we won't allow ourselves to suffer the same fate, and that we & our other Allies will hold back their efforts!
This represents a fictitious version of the mission; you will fly as a Belgian fighter pilot either intercepting the Stuka flights, or engaging their 109s that try to strafe Brustem at low level.
    "intelligence_string"=This is a 50/50 mission. If asked to intercept the Stukas, you'll fly east-northeast & climb to 3,500 meters. Once you locate the Stukas, tear into them & take down as many as you can. Don't try to land at Brustem; fly over to Jeneffe, near Liège, until Brustem can be repaired. If asked to intercept the 109s, turn southeast just after takeoff and try to break up the enemy flights before they can reach Brustem. You'll have the advantage of turn radius, but 109s are much faster. Once combat has ended, you will land at Jeneffe to recover. We're trying to find additional flights to help your attack, but we are spread very thin, so you may have to go it alone. Good luck!

    Good morning,

    Here is another...

    "title_string"=Belgian Air Force - Defend Le Culot aerodrome
    "summary_string"=Attention, pilots! The actions on 10 May 1940 have weakened our forces, but we still remain resolute. Their coordinated effort to destroy our airfields & aircraft has been averted by our ground crews. You'll guard Beauvechain airfield by intercepting these incoming Stukas, hopefully forcing them to abort! If they break through your defense or you get jumped by 109s, you will land at a secondary airfield. Let's show the enemy we remain unbroken and will continue fighting back!
    "objective_string"=This is a quasi-historical amalgam of three events on 11 May, 1940. The Belgian airfield of Le Culot was strafed twice that day by Bf-109s, damaging Gladiators & Hurricanes. The Stuka mission flown was actually to raid Vissenaken airfield, but given that this lay in close proximity to Beauvechain, the Stukas in this mission raid this airfield instead in a coordinated attack at about the same time of the second strafing by Messerschmitts of I/JG 1. This is a fictitious version of this mission; you'll fly as a Belgian pilot intercepting these Stuka flights or engaging their 109s that try to strafe Beauvechain at low level.
    "intelligence_string"=This is a 50/50 mission. If asked to intercept the Stukas, you'll fly east-northeast & climb to 3,000 meters. Once you locate the Stukas, tear into them & take down as many as you can. Don't try to land at Beauvechain; head to Brustem, about 25km east of Beauvechain, until Beauvechain airfield can be repaired. If asked to intercept the 109s, reverse course just after takeoff and try to break up the enemy flights before they can reach Beauvechain. You'll have the advantage of turn radius, but 109s are much faster. Once combat has ended, you will land at Brustem to recover. We are trying to find additional flights to help your attack, but we are spread very thin, so you might have to go it alone. Good luck!

    John,

    They did have an eventful couple of days, but then it was done. Just a few recon sorties here and there...the Dutch put up far better of a fight. Thanks for the repaint, I flew her last night and loved it.

    Good morning,

    "title_string"=Belgian Air Force - Catch the enemy off-guard!
    "summary_string"=Scramble! Our spotters around Liège have sighed German fighters passing over the city at low level. We know they're coming near our airfield, and we will get up into the air and surprise 'em, hopefully getting the drop on them and knocking them out of the sky! It is imperative that we keep our airbases safe so we can continue to resist, so do your part to make sure we can continue to fight!
You fly this mission as a RBAF pilot. At this point, the BAF had twelve two-bladed Hurricanes at the ready. This scenario suggests about half of these were used to engage the Bf-109s.
    "intelligence_string"=A few of our spotters around Liège reported that the German fighters were very low, so they may be coming in for a strafing attack. As soon as you are airborne, fly southeast to intercept the Luftwaffe fighters. It is certainly possible that the Germans may use dive-bombers to hit this base from above, so if that occurrs, after combat is finished you'll land at Brustem while Jeneffe undergoes repairs. Above all, make sure to prevent losses if possible, these Hurricanes are the most modern fighters we have!
    "player_aircraft_name_string"=Hurricane MK1 Early RBAF
    "airfield_string"=Belgium - Jeneffe

    "title_string"=Battle of France (Stuka) - Dawn brings the fog of war
    "summary_string"=Aufgepasst, kameraden! The attack in the west has begun! To help pave the way for our ground units, we must prevent enemy air forces in the area from interfering. Your Stukas of 4/StG 2 will raid the airfield at Chièvres; this is a Belgian fighter base. Hopefully, we can catch the enemy fighters on the ground, and prevent 'em from ever getting into the air!
    "objective_string"=On 10 May, the Germans began their Attack in the West, and the Stuka was heavily involved from the start. On this day, they struck airfields in Belgium and Holland, including the airfield at Nivelles, in Belgium. (Chièvres is used as a replacement) These Stukas of 4/StG 2 raided the airfield at dawn as part of this cordinated effort. No loss reports of Stukas were recorded, and it's assumed that none of the Belgian aircraft were able to get airborne, but little other data is available to confirm this.
    "intelligence_string"=Once airborne, you will hold a west-southwesterly course to reach the aerodrome in western Belgium. It is crucial you get there by sunrise, to mask you as you attack out of the sun. Over the airfield, hit hangars, fuel stores, ammo crates, and all parked planes to keep the Belgians grounded. If you fail, they might chase after you as you withdraw. Once you've cleared the Belgian aerodrome, maintain an east-northeasterly course to return to Germany.

    Good morning,

    "title_string"=Belgian Air Force - Patrol the spine of Belgium
    "summary_string"=Listen up, men! We're confident that the Germans are launching their attack today, so we're sending out fighter and recce patrols to locate and engage German fighters and bombers. If they follow their pattern in Poland and Norway, they will attack our aerodromes first to try and keep us on the ground. Let's make sure to defend our airfields and fight on our terms; in the air!
    "objective_string"=This is a semi-historical amalgam of two strikes by KG 27 on Belgian bases during 10 May. During this first raid, a Hurricane of 2/I/2 was damaged by return fire when engaging He-111s that struck the base. Another He-111 strike by KG 27 attacked the airfield at Belsele. The airfield of Ursel has been utilized as a substitute; it lies about 40km west of the actual airfield. Little information is available on German losses or successes during these raids, nor is further information available about Belgian losses.
    "intelligence_string"=Once airborne, you'll fly east toward the German border, climbing hard to 12,000 feet. If the skies remain clear in this sector, turn west-northwest & cross the Belgian spine, heading between Antwerp and Brussels to reach the northwestern airfields. Any Luftwaffe formations you run into during this sweep you're free to engage, and then take down as many as you can. If Melsbroeck gets hit, you'll land at Beauvechain airfield instead. This may be a long fight, so be sure you bring your Hurricanes back intact!

    Good morning,

    Here are a couple more...

    "title_string"=Belgian Air Force - Cr-42s and Messerschmitts
    "summary_string"=Get to your fighters, men! Enemy forces have been pushing hard into Belgium, & we might soon have to evacuate to airfields further west. Until then, we must continue to defend our skies & hold back the Luftwaffe in order to give our remaining forces on the ground a chance to dig in and prevent being overrun!
    "objective_string"=This is a semi-historical amalgam of two events on 10 May and 14 May 1940. For the event on 10 May, Cr-42 Falcos of 4/II/2 engaged 109s of JG 1 at Maastricht, shooting down one Bf-109 & damaging another. On 14 May, two Cr-42s of 4/II/2 tangled with 109s of III/JG 3 near the city of Charleroi, Belgium. Both Falcos were damaged. Interestingly, Germans described these fighters as "Gladiators." Two days later, the remaining Cr-42s were flown out of Belgium & continued fighting alongside the French and British, while based in France.
    "intelligence_string"=After takeoff, you will fly a short patrol between Maastricht and Charleroi, looking for any signs of German fighters or bombers. Your height for this patrol will be 12,000ft. Following departure from Beauvechain you'll be in enemy territory, so watch for flak over Maastricht. If the skies are clear in both areas, you may return to Beauvechain, where we will await orders to move to another base.
    "player_aircraft_name_string"=CR-42 RBAF
    "airfield_string"=Belgium - Beauvechain

    "title_string"=Belgian Air Force - Falcos patrol the east fields
    "summary_string"=Listen up, men! We're confident that the Germans are launching their attack today, so we're sending out fighter and recce patrols to locate and engage German fighters and bombers. If they follow their pattern in Poland and Norway, they will attack our aerodromes first to try and keep us on the ground. Let's make sure to defend our airfields and fight on our terms; in the air!
    "objective_string"=This is a fictionalized amalgam of three strikes by Dorniers of KG 77 on the morning of 10 May 1940. These Dorniers struck Gossencourt, Neerhespen, & Shaffen. (Asch, Beauvechain, & Brustem have been used as replacements) No losses were recorded, & little information is available on effectiveness of the raids, although a lot of Belgian fighters were pummeled on the ground during 10 and 11 May. The premise of Belgian fighter patrol and interception on these raids is quasi-historical; the Cr-42s were actually based at Brustem, and they were active in trying to defend the airfields.
    "intelligence_string"=Once in the air, your patrol will sweep across the eastern Belgian airfields. Climbing to 9,000ft, you will patrol over Asch, then Beauvechain & Brustem before heading back to Jeneffe. If the skies are clear over each airfield, your patrol may be quick. If you do encounter German bombers, engage them and try to take down as many as you can until you exhaust your ammo, and then return to base. Good luck!

    Michael,

    It is, and I have used that source heavily for Luftwaffe data. Thanks!

    By the way...I found another really good source. Osprey Publishing put out a book on the Fiat Cr-42 Falco which includes a section on its brief history of use by the Belgians during WWII. Turns out they evacuated to Western Belgium and then France on 16 May and continued to fight alongside the French and British as late as 15 June. I ended up buying the E-book because it had good information I could not find anywhere else.

    Good afternoon,

    Almost done with the Belgian campaign....

    "title_string"=Belgian Air Force - Battle escort along the front
    "summary_string"=Scramble, men! A Fairey Battle is about to overfly Aspelare on an armed recce sweep over the front. Your flight will be part of the escorting force. It is imperative the Battle assesses activity between Antwerp and Brussels, because it will determine if we will need to evacuate our airfields for those in France. Be sure this Battle is kept safe, or we risk being overrun by the Germans!
    "objective_string"=This is a semi-historical amalgam of two events on 15 and 16 May. On 15 May, four Cr-42s escorted a single Fairey Fox over the frontline above Liewve, Lierre-Onze, & Vrouw-Wavre. During the mission, they got jumped by nine Bf-109s of III/JG 3. The Fiats were really stationed at Nieuwkerken-Waas during this time; Aspelare is used as a substitute. The mission has been joined with the evacuation to Aalter; this was ordered during the evening of the 15th. On this mission you will land at the airfields near Aalter once the escort is complete. (A Battle has been used as a substitute for a Fairey Fox for this mission)
    "intelligence_string"=The Battle & other escort flight will overfly your base while you are taking off. Once airborne, fly slightly in front of 'em at 8,000ft over the front; they will set up below you. Your job on the mission is to protect the Battle as it flies reconnaissance between Brussels and Antwerp, looking for Panzer formations. If intercepted, keep the Germans busy so the Battle can flee. Once this important task is complete, you will escort the Battle to the western airfields and land at Ursel whilst the Battle lands at Maldegem. Good luck!

    Sarg Willy,

    Here is another mission completed, which completes the Belgian Air Force campaign. I am getting closer to the end...just the Dutch / German campaign angle remains and the 24th and 25th of May to complete the end of Part I.

    "title_string"=Belgian Air Force - Depart Belgium for France
    "summary_string"=To your planes! The Luftwaffe has made it far too risky to stay in Belgium. French commanders have agreed to let us land & fly from the aerodrome at Norrent-Fontes. British and French fighters based here have been busy engaging Luftwaffe fighters and bombers, so be ready to contribute after you land and refit. Good luck!
    "objective_string"=This is a quasi-historical amalgam of events on 18 & 19 May, 1940. During this period, the remaining Belgian Cr-42 Falcos evacuated from Belgium and went first to Norrent-Fontes, & then to Chartres airfield, southwest of Paris. On the morning of 18 May, airfields near Aalter were struck by He-111s of I/KG 4, & later on the 18th, after these Falcos landed, the new airfield was raided by Do-17s of an unknown squadron. The mission combines these two events. The premise of assistance from British or French fighters is historically plausible, but it is fictional.
    "intelligence_string"=After taking off, you'll fly east-southeast & climb up to 12,000 feet. As you near Norrent-Fontes, be sure to listen for orders...it is possible you may be sent toward an airfield southwest of Paris, to give you a chance to rest & reequip. You will be flying though an active sector on your way to France, so enemy intercepts are possible. After you get over the Seine this will likely not occur. Be sure to get your fighters to France intact; this is all we have left to maintain our colors!

    "campaign_name_string"=Battle of France - Stuka campaign
    "campaign_overview"=After defeating Poland in the fall of 1939, Hitler turned his eyes to France. Following victory over Denmark and Norway in April, the Wehrmacht was unleashed on France on May 10th, 1940. The Germans avoided the French Maginot defensive line by attacking through the Ardennes Forest and completely surprising Anglo-French forces in France. Using the revolutionary tactic of Blitzkrieg, German forces soon had French and British forces running. One of the key components of Blitzkrieg was the integrated use of the Luftwaffe to support the army's ground forces. The primary close support aircraft so engaged was the Junkers Ju-87 "Stuka" dive bomber. Fly now as a Luftwaffe pilot in your Ju-87 to support the German Army in Northern France and Belgium.

    Looks good Rami. The math works out; I don't see any dead ends; and it offers plenty of variety each time it's flown. Good example of how simple branching can spice up a campaign.
