Is there one available for FS2004? Not looking for the Hudson or Ventura bombers...but the pure Lodestar transport plane.

I don't remember seeing any Lodestars for FS2004, but I surely do wish. I remember the first one I ever saw as a kid. It was parked next to a Beech Super 18 and I thought about how HUGE it was.

Milton's Howard 500 is a heavily modified Loadstar...
Brian
Lockheed twin fanatic here.
The Lodestar or Model 18 was a redesign of the Model 14 Super Electra. Both the Ventura & Harpoon were separate models entirely. The Howard 500 was built from Ventura wings and Harpoon undercarriage. The rest of it was new.
The Howard 250 was based on the Lodestar.
No Lodestar had been released for any sim to date that I know of.
I found a lodestar on Flightsim.com for FS98 and FS5...but those models are so old that they might as well not exist in terms of usability in FS2004/CFS2.
Mayhaps, I need to speed up my Gmax learning and produce the Lodestar.

I still think FS98 is still the best served for third party addons, amazing after all this time. The amount of times I've searched for stuff, only to find one for FS98 and nothing else!

only project i know is here:
http://restauravia.com/page4.html
and no release date.
But given the fine production of these guys I'm sure it will be a great add-on... one day...

Good hunting lads!
Wouldn't mind a Lodestar myself.
OBIO,
I have a base Howard 500 gmax file I setup for anyone wishing to use it to create a Lodestar, Harpoon, or Ventura.
Let me know if you want it or any variation I have of the Howard 500.
Oh yes, me too! A version was released by AVSIM Russia as a matter of fact from what i know it is a WIP that was officially released together with an issue of a flight sim magazine in France as a WIP... It ended up on AVSIM Russia... anyhow Gilles Faulmeyer the author (also made the Piel Emeraude...) recently resumed work on it. And it is going to be very interesting with a full original set of French gauges of the 30'.
Currently the next to be relesed project should i believe be the Nord.
Indeed Restauravia need be checked sometimes their production range from good to outstanding (think of the Fouga's by Chancel...)

OBIO,
There is a Lockheed 14 Loadestrar for FS2000, It was made by Mr Chuck Dome, it can eassilt be converted to a FS2K2 or FS9. Comes with a panel, sound, I liked it alot but its range was very short, I wanted it to fly the world.

Hi all,
A Lockheed Lodestar would be fantastic. At the moment I'm chasing a real one used to save my skin during WW2.
I would dearly like have one for Fs2004 and I would PAY for anyone that could build one.
It would be a Model L-18 and painted as LT-907 which it was registered at the factory in the USA.
The plane was flown by my father to Broome in 1942 and landed in one piece during the Japanese raid on Broome and Roebook bay where a lot of flying boats congregated, but were stranded awaiting high tide, which varies up to 40feet. All were shot, never to fly again with lots civilians killed on board.
After WW2 it was returned to USAAF and civilian life.It may have finished it's many hours in the world flying drugs in to the USA. I hope not, as I want to see it in a Museum somewhere.
I would like to show some of the images of the plane/s if someone could direct me the way to do this.
If I can assist to get the Lodestar for FS2004.
The easiest way to get the images on this page would be to upload them as attachments from your computer. Either click the paperclip icon at the top of the reply window or scroll down a little and click the "Manage Attachments" button. You'll get a popup that will prompt you through the upload process.

OBIO,
I have been wanting a Ventura for as long as I have had FS9! There is so little regard paid to this wonderful airplane, that at first was forced to perform a duty for which it was not designed, formation low-level strategic bombing for the British. The Brits hated the plane.
But the US Navy loved it! The PV-1 served every theater of operation for the Navy save strategic bombing! Little is known of the fact that the first aircraft to bomb the mainland of Japan after Jimmy Doolittle's raid were the harassment bombing raids by PV-1s on the northern Kuril Island ports from bases in the Aleutians.
The nose gun version could literally cut a Japanese destroyer into! They could outrun Zeros after dropping their bombing and didn't mind taking them on if they had to. Many a Japanese plane was rendered useless by a Ventura's firepower.
Milton, we beg you, we beseech you, please do us a Lockheed PV-1 Ventura.

Is Pstrany's 14 still in the works?
Pstrany's Lockheed 14 is still underway....he works on it when he has time. He sent me an updated MDL file not too long ago...which I lost in my recent HD glitch, along with the 2d and VC work I had done for the plane...and the 14 is shaping up very nicely. Be patient...it is coming!

That's fine Milton, been anxiously awaiting the AT-11 too. :ernae:
I always wanted a good Curtiss-Wright AT-9 "Jeep" too. :mixedsmi:
Caz
Mike stone did up a nice At-9....no VC, but the modeling is superb.
