Still fond of the Carenado Cessna 185 and eagerly awaiting the Aerosoft Pilatus Porter.

I like the A2A Piper cub with fat tires. But it is exceptionally slow..

I enjoy A2A's Cessna 172 for the type of bush flying I do. For Aerosoft's Africa scenery I find it very challenging. The high altitude and high temperatures ( 85 deg @ 8000' ) make energy management, and the climb prop a must. The rough nature of the airstrips make a landing with all the parts still attached very rewarding. If I were doing it in real life I would want a specialized turbine aircraft like the Porter or a higher powered Cessna like the 182, but that would take away from the challenge.

I would recommend that you hold out for Milviz's Beaver. You will not be disappointed. It will be a winner.

Currently, it is without a doubt Dave Garwood's Auster J1 Autocrat.

I also like the SibWings Cessna O-1/L-19 Bird Dog.

I have a feeling both of these could be overtaken by the forthcoming MilViz Beaver, esp as it is designed with P3D in mind (the aforementioned were made for FSX).

A Helio Courier would be nice. I think Tim Conrad made one in the old days.

+1 for DG's Auster and the Sibwings Bird Dog, but I'd also recommend the old RealAir Scout - standard, tundra and amphibian versions included, plus a Citabria and Decathlon. Great value, the VC still looks amazing, and it all seems to work and fly as well in the latest P3D as it did in FSX.

Tim's Porter is one of my favorites for rough terrain but the C185 Amphibian gets plenty of use as well.
