Uhm...Do you know of any brand name vehicle with a 700hp engine that's cheaper?

    Why that much HP?
And I'm betting that would be 700BHP SAE, not DIN.
I'll get back to you on this subject, somewhere I have the Dyno sheets for an obselete Porsche Cup 911 that we bought recently for not a lot of money.
Nothing as second hand as second hand race car ..........
Here we go, a tad under 300BHP DIN and it cost us ('The Olde Fartes Restoration Co.') less than half of the asking price of a Hellcat, which (BTW) equates to around A$100,000 at the current exchange rate.
No 'normal' person needs a 700BHP car, and I'm a petrol head from way back.

The Hellcat is a production car that anyone can purchase

6.2-liter Hemi Hellcat engine already puts out 707 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque

I recall you saying you were not a 'Hair on Fire' person way back mate.
Of course, whatever floats your boat is fine, I must be getting old, an off the showroom floor car with 700BHP (even SAE) seems a little excessive.

LoL excessive or not, a production car with that kind of power at only 70K is a steal!
But ya' gotta understand the American muscle car philosophy and Friday & Saturday nights at your local drag racing strip to see why it's not "excessive"...
