Wingman down safe at MGGT. The visibility was pretty bad. This pic was right over the runway, which I missed completely.

Kudos to Paul for making it down, and to Derry for the valiant effort

From hours old personal experience I know it wasn't easy! https://clips.twitch.tv/darkcharizma...sWolverineBORT (unfortunately twitch wouldn't create a clip to the landing, but it looked like that until 100m before and 50 ft above the runway )

    Thanks DC!

Derry, don't feel bad about that crash. That I survived that "landing" was 100% luck! When the GPS said I was "0 miles" from the airport, I saw NOTHING out the window! And the RADALT said I was 200 feet over the ground. And the ILS needle was stuck on the right side, laughing at me. So I chopped the power and "landed". I figured the airport had to be sort of around here somewhere. I was worried about landing on top of the control tower though. I ended up in the grass somewhere...

Yeah, I saw a brief glimpse of the runway, just before bouncing off of it. Next thing I know I'm looking at the outside of my aircraft.

    Great flying all.
One wag said that "we don't need no stinkin' electronics. We are real pilots and we fly by the seat of our pants." Another replied, "That's why we have heavy duty washing machines."

PS. Please check the Duty Officer post on RTWR site.
(The ruling is that the Bearcat might have been overused. But the penalty should not be served immediately until a final ruling is made.)
