Here are some reference material and related sites for the Battle of Britain. Web site for BoB II WoV. A fantastic sim at a great price. One of my favorites other than CFS3 and Il-2 '46. http://www.battleofbritain1940.net/

    Scott,

That's the type of generic information I've been finding. Numbers of bombers are good, but no specifics are given insofar as what types of bomber types were used, and the units they came from. If I know the aircraft type composition of the formation (Heinkels, Junkers, Dorniers) and the units they came from, I can determine which airfield to use for the starting point for the raids.

I have the second half of my question: http://ww2.dk/

    Mongoose,

The WW2 dk site is what I use to determine airbase location and aircraft type. That's half of the puzzle, yes, and the part that I have. I did try the Axis history forum, and have gotten no response yet. I can also try Twelve O'clock High.

    Battle of Britain

Hi all! it seems BoB is quite popular as it covers the dark days Britain faced against a far superior German air force.
I have downloaded a few mission sets that iv`e tweaked to run on my rig in ETO Rev 1.5.they are BoB Ruff,BoB_RAF_Missions,Black Summer,MGM.Missions and many by the House Hobbit and others.
These missions keep me busy for hours and a big thanks to the people who have the talent to bring these great historical War time events to us.

Just remember it's a older sim so the graphics are not as good as Il-2 BoS. But they are good to me. The ai is one of the best ever bar none. Very well worth the little amount money spent. Will give years of enjoyment. Recommend Win7 64bit as it won't work on Win8 and may work with Win10 after some modding ,i'm told.

Don't think so. From what i read there are enough missions in game to keep you busy for a long while.

CFS3 with all the expansions available and some custom (9 total) and Il-2 '46 (2 installs) take up most of my time. Will have to make some special time to play BoB II WoV . New key mapping to learn and am reading up on the sim to help with game play.

Looked to get into Il-2CLoD but will not deal with steam to install. Interested in single player only. Sim is terrible stock and must be modded to work at all. Graphics isn't everything. CFS3 and Il-2 '46 graphics are good enough for me. Really like the CFS3 ETO BoB install and Pat's CFS3 BoB.Especially since i love quick combat and single missions . Not so much into campaigns because of time constraints . One can only hope there will be some new missions for Pat's updated BoB expansion coming out in the future.Get well Owen !!

Would be nice if you could share your modded missions for the ETO-BoB expansion .

I was able to pick up CLoD for 5 bucks a year ago. It's pretty but just couldn't hold my attention. I appreciate the depth they tried to model the workings of the aircraft in, but they still got a lot wrong. I sometimes use it for ideas for my own CFS3 mods, but that's about it.

    Sixstrings,

I am getting pretty close to releasing a package for CFS2 involving the Battle of Britain that will have a total of 274 missions upon release. This includes...

Mirrored campaigns for the Battle of Britain, flying from the German and British sides.

A campaign each focusing on the principals; Bf-109, Bf-110, Stuka, Hurricane, Spitfire.

A campaign focused on Spitfires from Hornchurch.

A campaign focused on Hurricanes from Kenley.

A campaign focused on Spitfires during August, 1940.

A mirrored campaign for the Chianti Raiders / Corpo Aereo Italiano.

A German bomber campaign of forty-one missions chopped into two campaigns; the daylight raids consisting of twenty-four missions, and a night campaign consisting of seventeen missions. Cities attacked include Belfast, the Clydebank, Newcastle, Sunderland, Manchester, Southampton, Portland, Coventry, Liverpool, Sheffield, Birmingham, London, Swansea, Cardiff, Plymouth, Nottingham, Bristol, and Barrow.

As I have done in the past, you are welcome to use the descriptions and other materials for use in CFS3.

    Hey guys,

I have tried to learn CFS3 in the past, but CFS2's Mission Builder and the ability to hand-edit missions provides so much flexibility that I just decided to continue in CFS2 exclusively. To me, the way you have to do missions in CFS3 is so different that it would take me a long time to get up to speed, and with everything going on right now with my physical trials, I just don't feel like taking on that type of project and expectation.

Any one of you are welcome to use any content in this package, when uploaded, for CFS3.
