    Aren't you carrying flares???

EDIT: That's where MP comes in handy :-) We light the runway for you.

EDIT2: I show that as a lighted RW in FS9

One note here. When posting a Flight Analysis screen you should zoom out before the screen shot to (as much as possible) show the whole route of flight so it is similar to what the Duenna graphic would show. A closer view like you have is good as an addition.

We have a couple of other questions about what happened- check your PMs

I think ( and Duenna agrees) that you really departed from SNKH.
It's a non-error in practice but the sort of tiny detail that can be easy to make and easy to catch - or easy to miss in the rush. It's just that little sort of posting error that gets someone to send a PM to the Race Committee and then ...
Just to make the point that, after the dust settles, but before 'the hour' passes, we should proof-read our posts and make corrections. (And the edit should be shown, not just erased and re-typed - just so it's easily understood)

    Yeah.. I know. details.

BTW Milton, the runway was lit (I'd checked) and I had flares, but someone must have dropped a PB&J sandwich on them as they wouldn't light. I had to hand-fly while searching as the autopilot was throwing fits and couldn't be trusted, so it became too many things all at the wrong time.

As PM'd, I think I simply forgot to reset Duenna after a previous attempt at the hop where I didn't actually land, gravity landed me as I was watching 'The good guys' on cable. My fuel tracking on the the last recorded flight seems to confirm this. I was downloading soundpacks for this Mustang during the flight and initially thought Duenna lost connection during the downloads.

    Belay that order!

Was about to shut down and FSX came back to life. Looks like the Duenna gave up but will finish out leg and see what happens.

  15. #40
    Baton is free at SVMG.

The Duenna lost connection for about 10 minutes during the lock up but then came back with a red border not valid (is valid) flight. Have attached the paperwork for the accounting department.

It appears that this would be ruled a valid leg. But we'll take a closer look.

Just wouldn't go the extra mile (or 5) to land at a 'real' airport Martin? Or were you looking for short field practice?

PS. No sign of the data or link after 20 min... upload issues?

Nothing posted by Spookster, so here's the online tracking link to his flight SVMG-PR05

Well, the big airport on the coast might have been getting close to the 500nm limit, so I reckoned I'd challenge myself and go and find the little 1800 foot grass strip instead.

Thanks, Rob, for posting the link to the Duenna. I landed just as dinner was coming out of the oven, so had to go and eat before coming back and dealing with the admin. Had this been the real race, I'd have been quicker about it of course...
