I don't detect a performance hit although there must be some rendering shadows. The biggest hit for me is running many more clouds than I used to, just to see the shadows

I detect an enormous performance hit because I keep staring at the amazing cloud shadows, lose track of where I'm flying, and suffer CTGs (Crashes to Ground).

    Just installed it......

This is the first time I'm using this add-on, and it's really nice to have cloud shadowing in FSX SE.....

This addon makes quite a difference in FSX !...
Apart of obvious additions - VC & Cloud shadows - I also believe that the
lighting of the environment is better : cockpit board & gauges look better
as also scenery objects (brighter & with better contrast), close to P3D visuals.

About performance issues, with planes and sceneries that I don't get any FPS hit,
using these addons I notice no difference in performance, while with demanding
planes or sceneries - that I get a frame drop anyway - maybe there is an additional
    2-3 FPS drop, but that's a maybe...

if you've been running with water at 2.mid, no difference.

Hmm, I think I run at 2.x low, so I guess I can't use the cloud shadows anyway.
