    All hands, please read. Ickie.

With heavy hearts, we have very sad news to report. We have received confirmation from his family that Ron ("Ickie") Larson passed away on December 23. We had hoped that two apparent logins since his last post on December 22nd were a sign that he was still out there, but in truth hope dimmed as time passed without hearing from him directly. Ron has been a constant companion to us all for many years as he worked tirelessly to keep the sim-outhouse up and running. He pretty much dedicated the last years of his life to our web site and watering hole here. RIP Ron. We will miss you.

Very sorry to hear that. At the very least, now his pain and suffering are over. A decision made by a higher power than we humans, I'm sure. Rest in Peace, Ron.

Stallings just posted over at the Quarter Moon Saloon about Ickie's passing. Talk about a bummer.

That guy put untold hours into this site to keep the place going - literally the backbone of the community built here.

I hope he's found peace and rest for his was not an easy life.

Thanks for everything you did for us Ickie, may you rest in peace.

My condolences and sympathy to Ron's family and friends.

It can be said that the measure of a man is his character under pressure. I think we all witnessed courage and a sense of humor from Ron as first learned of his cancer, and in the way he dealt with the reality of it.

My hat is off to the gentleman.

    God speed sir.

If any of us didn't really appreciate how wonderful SOH was thanks to Ron's tireless efforts in keeping it going, I'm sure, we will now!
