Just got up and read this sad news. R.I.P. Ron. You were the heart of Sim-Outhouse, which is the best FS site. I've been here almost every day since 2003. Goodbye fellow-musician and fellow-flightsimmer, I'll miss your posts and your personality. Godspeed.......

Hard to find the words. The value of people like Ron is immeasurable (& irreplaceable), made even more so when we lose them. Without question he left a very big legacy here and among many in this hobby which will shine on for a long time. I'm certain that within all of us, in our own ways we'll help to continue that legacy he left us.

2016 was a very hard year for many of us regarding health and loss of family and good friends. I hope and wish for all good things and good health to all here (as well as family).

    Tim,

One of his biggest goals and wishes was for SOH to continue on, even after he was gone. He took a lot of steps to ensure that reality.

A lot of folks don't know that Ron was also a musician who had an extensive collection of guitars and wrote a few songs. He sent me a few to listen to over the years. Here's one...

I am absolutely crushed to hear this sad news. I am sending prayers to his loved ones. He dedicated his life to keeping SOH up and running. He would want the SOH family to continue his efforts. Godspeed, Ickie, and thank you for all you did for us.

I have known Ron, through the SOH since I joined back in 1998 (or there abouts). So sad to hear of his passing, he was a tough contender, IMO, and I know he didn't go down without a fight.
Blue skies, Ron. Rest peacefully my friend.
