Thread: Not long now...

    Unfortunately we don't have the cockpit source file so I don't think it can be moved back.
    Would be nice if the external could be shifted forward but it would probably mess up the flight model.

    All in all a pretty nice package. I look forward to more variants from you guys

    A set of four P-40Fs has begun its way to the library. Available some time soon.

    While Nigel's Kittyhawks are indeed sporting a brand new model these are based on Mike Wholaver's old (but good, I have to add) P-40F with some modernization that began life as case of a "hey, I have a silly idea here" but eventually turned out pretty well.

    Thank you for these P_40F

    Hi Nigel,

    unfortunately I do not have the source file anymore, HD crash only a couple of months back seen me lose pretty much all of the CFS3 work involvement I've been included in.

    nice work to all on the new kitty hawks, really enjoying them.

    regards Rob.

    Cool P40s

    I have P40 source files from Ed Wilson - anyone want them?

  6. #31
    You never know, Ted - they could come in for something. If you've got the Tomahawk especially...

    So ....

    Do you want these? I am nearly certain they are the p40's used in MAW. Let me know if you want them and to whom I need to send them...If you have access to the Aussie FTP I can upload them there.

    I do want them, Ted, yes! They are the P-40s used in MAW, and will have been the basis for the P-40E/K in RS, I think. I can get into the server, so if you can find my box and drop them in, that'd be great!

    The second set of mine, consisting of seven P-40Ls, went up yesterday. Next in line... perhaps French and RAAF versions under the name Kittyhawk II but they'll have to be made first.

    To use the Dynamic Reticles for the P-40L aircraft in this package add this line to the effects section of the xdp file:

    <Effect Type="Track" EffectName="US_AAF_N6a_gunsight" PosX="-0.005" PosZ="-0.5" PosY="1.26" Pitch="90.5" MinVel="-999999" MaxVel="999999"/>

    For the P-40F use:

    <Effect Type="Track" EffectName="US_AAF_N2a_gunsight" PosX="-0.005" PosZ="-0.5" PosY="1.26" Pitch="90.5" MinVel="-999999" MaxVel="999999"/>

    For the P-40E and Kittyhawks use:

    <Effect Type="Track" EffectName="US_AAF_N6a_gunsight" PosX="0.0025" PosZ="0.55" PosY="0.875" Pitch="90.5" MinVel="-999999" MaxVel="999999"/>

    Was going to install all the P-40 series but since you have to mod some files it may be a while till i can get to it to do them all. Thanks so very much to all involved.
