Ran out of runway, after failing to dis-engage auto throttle.

Red duenna, baton is back at ZJSY.

Amazing how fast our minds get clogged up with RW stuff from one race year to the next. :-)

On a lighter note, you need to update your signature to add a couple years. :-)

    WHAT ????

Ickie passed. OMG, I had no idea. I need to read the news forums once in a while. So sorry to hear it.

OK, nice flight. But this is why we need to make a posting that says "I have the baton", in order to ensure nobody else also makes a flight at the same time. The routine required by the race rules is:

    1. make a forum post (saying "I have the baton, from [start point] to [intended destination], in a [describe the aircraft]").
    2. go ahead and fly, with Duenna running
    3. land safely
    4. make a forum post saying "The baton is free at [destination]".
    5. the next pilot can then take the baton.
    6. you can add your flight evidence (the image from Duenna) to the "baton is free" post later, by editing your forum post.

Of course this is just practice, so no problem at all, but we should try to keep to the routine to make sure the race runs smoothly.

Alright, which way are we going. Do we need to re-fly VJSY to RPVM?

I have the Baton from RCMQ to RODN flying Vought F7U-3M Cutlass.me think

  11. #86
Baton back at RCMQ. I really screwed up. the Cutlass has a range just a little over 1300 miles, and this dumb fellow forgot to check the fuel and took off a 100 gallons short. Oops

  12. #87
Well being a pilot in Flight 19, I must give this bugger another go! RCMQ to RODN

  13. #88
Hey, sorry it has taken so long to get going again. R/L thing with a 150 puppy, and all the mud we have around here since the snow melted. Oh, by the way the puppy is a 10 month old St. Bernard. hehe.

  14. #89
Well, we made it, the Baton is free at RODN

  15. #90
Oh, by the way the puppy is a 10 month old St. Bernard. hehe.
I grew up with a wonderful St. Bernard. We got her as a puppy not much bigger than a large rabbit, but boy, did she ever grow!
We always knew if someone was on the property. Her growls felt like the precursor rumblings of an earthquake.
Kinda Ironic, as our last name is Bernard. By the way, don't get him/her near water. She WILL be in it, no matter what your opinion of the matter.
A hint: When he/she gets on in years, it may be prone to arthritis in it's back hips. Believe it or not, bee stings help a LOT. My father had a hive, and we would grab a bee to sting our dog in the back hips. Didn't care much for the treatment, but would relieve the pain for weeks.

    Good fortune with your puppy!

Just FYI guys; I am very busy at the moment but I have been practicing shorter flights as I have time, off line. My setup and aircraft seem to be working well and I am refreshing all that I forgot.

    Here ya go.... https://www.fsrtwrace.com/duenna.php

I just installed it too (just in case) and even turned on crash detection in FSX (I've had it turned off for over a year now).

A bit hard, but down and green. Baton free @ RJNH. A nice runway for a heavy takeoff.

I contacted Eamonn about the Duenna download problems. It's fixed now.
At least the one on the RTWR Official website.
