Well it happened. CRASHED, Hehe. was practicing some go around in the night and on the third pass, bingo! I ruin some folks night sleep. One thing I need more practice at night when needing to go around.
Went to plug in my mic, couldn't find it. Found the backup mic, it doesn't work. Guess I'll go buy a new mic...

I think, just for fun, will re-fly the route VABP to VECC
I'll be jumping into practice in a day or two; got me hands full right now. I did test Duenna connections and flight and all was well.
The baton is free at VECC
I'll jump in again later. Meanwhile, here's what we've done so far:

Martin (FS RTW Race pilot 2009-19)
Win7 x64 | MSI X79A-GD65 | Intel Core i7-3820 Quad-Core 3.60 GHz | 16GB DDR3/1600MHz Quad Channel Memory | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 2GB
I see that no one has picked up the baton for the next leg, and if this is all the pilots we are going to get together for the RTW we just maybe in deep do-do.
I will take the baton from Vecc to VGEG flying Douglas AD AIJ
The Baton is free at VGEG As usual the fog was low over India, but cleared just in time for landing. some luck.
You think you got problems? So far, as near as I can see, the Flightsim team consists entirely of myself, my lovely wife, and Poncho. I am not sure we will be able to field a viable team this year......if this is all the pilots we are going to get together for the RTW we just maybe in deep do-do.
Pat☺
Wow! At least we have had a few more than you noting that they maybe available for the flight.
Sorry to hear that Pat. It seems to be the new normal now. I suspect people just do not want, or can't, make the 3 day/24-7 commitment any more. There are simply too many other required, or interesting and fun things to do without that kind of commitment. The new car racing games are good competitions and require only 1-2 hours. Team competitions we watch on TV or on a tablet/iPad, or TV. More fun, less pain. :-)
I have the baton at VGEG heading approx ENE.
Alphasim F-80.
First distance flight in this plane so not declaring a destination yet until I get a clue on range.
Also this is a night flight over unfamiliar terrain, so if anybody else wants to depart from VGEG and head somewhere else feel free as success is not guaranteed and only partially likely

It's been a few years since I kicked the Hornet so gimma a HU when you're close and we'll do one of the old baton handoff's on the same tick.

No need to guess about these things Sir. We have race gauges to track that and much more.
We need to hook you up.
By the way, do you have Teamspeak (freeware) and a headset with a mike (less than $20 anywhere)?
Headset with boom mike: Lightweight and comfortable: https://www.walmart.com/search/?quer...yber+Acoustics
TeamSpeak: http://www.teamspeak.com
MaddogK- Destination appears to be Kunming (ZPPP)
Currently cruising at 400+ knots with a 60 knot tailwind so will be in the neighborhood shortly... DME shows 75 miles out.
Milton- Tools would be nice. Need to make sure I still have Teamspeak installed and I have a new headset.

On long base, 10 miles out. May have started descent a little late. No time like the present to check out Duenna stress levels.

Soon as they sweep the wreckage off the runway the baton is free

So, I feel a little better. There is some invisible obstruction off of Runway 21 at Kunming in my FSX-A install. I've just done three approaches in different aircraft and all three have been struck down 50-100 feet above ground. I've noticed some mesh altitude issues at some other airports recently so while I dig into that, I'm going to switch over to my FSX Steam install for further RTW practice as I have that version far less buggered up with add ons.
