Hi Folks, My boo-boo, keep forgetting to load the camera with film. Must be a senior thing, because I keep forgetting a lot of things here lately. I will load the camera for tonight, now all I got to do is remember to take pictures,

Adventures in navigation to Resolute Bay. Fancy jet had a lot of bells and whistles but in the end I only trusted the ADF.

Had the same issues as Moses, just took me longer to realize it. GPS, VOR and ADF were saying different things. Ended up trusting the ADF and found my way into CYRB. GPS had me going to China and the VOR wanted to visit Santa

Flew from the relatively busy airfield at Resolute Bay to the lonely strip at Oske Bay. Stark views of blue sky and sea broken up by white clouds and snow. We landed as far North as one normally goes on vacation -- only 700nm from the Pole.

Hey there! Well here we go again, had problems with the cargo something to do with the bloody paper work, so, we didn't get the chance to take off with Flight 19 to CJO2 by the afternoon all got straighten out, and we left for CJO2. Surprise, I loaded the cameras this time.

Did a little trading with one of the locals for this ol' Bugsmasher. A little slower than the rest of the Flight 19 crowd, but it should get me there (if I don't bounce my way into a large crater)

Departing Clyde River in one mile vis in snow, a long climb through thick cloud and the same on descent pretty much ruined the scenic value of the flight south to Qikiqtarjuaq (Broughton Island). This is the site of FOX-5, the easternmost DEWline site on Canadian soil.

Low ceilings at Broughton suggested a descent over the ocean and a loop around the island to line up on Runway 03. After a long slog in IFR conditions, the break (with some remaining snow) was a pleasant end to the leg.

Kind of scratched up the paint on the Twin Beech on landing last night, so I figured I'd just trade it in on another. Supposedly it was used in a movie before it headed north.

And found an old friend that might come in handy for a proposed floater trip.
