    Take a guess?

Working on another airport in the same area as Block Island and Montauk. There is also a Lighthouse associated with this Island Airport that I will attempt to replicate.....(maybe, lol).

Been visiting there my entire life and regard as my home airport. First rate work as usual!

A bit speechless! Caught a half dozen bluefish right next to that lighthouse this past August. It looks spot on. That lighthouse was completed I think in 1897 and of course is automated now. Between the end of 0B8 runway 12 and the light is some of the best fishing in New England for striped bass and blues.

That's some great info that lends well to the image of Race Rock at sunset. Thanks for posting expat.

Thanks Milton. The wall I've run into is the rock bed around it. That's a lot of rocks and the frame hit starts to get rough before I even have half of them placed, lol.

Yes, I would think so. I created this quickly in gmax using an 8-sided sphere, deleted all but the top 4 polys, then cloned, and attached/welded. 96 polys.

I think you could do something like this on 2 or 3 top ridges and texture them. Once done, screenshot one group from above and use that to texture a more flat series of polys to connect them.

Not a problem Ed; I was simply doing a test to see what it would take on a small scale.

You should use whatever tool that works best for you; that is a nice tool, I understand.

Found a way around it: using the default rocks, resized and rotated and raised to fit. It works....

That is just terrific Ed. Funny thing about those particular rocks, our fishing boat was almost on top of them this summer bobbing up and down with the swells and casting in there as sometimes the really big stripers (some get to 50lb+) hang out nearby. Got a very clear memory of what those rocks look like looking down thinking I hope the boat doesn't bash into them . .

Been adding to and doing some minor corrections. Added a rotating beacon inside the tower, a small red flashing beacon on the outside, removed a portion of the rocks on the left side, added a railing at the point where the lower ladder hits the top of the platform (so you have something to hold onto to get up on the deck, lol). . .added a few more windows were needed and made a hard platform so you can land a heli there. I also made a small water runway and traffic file that allows for my Aviat Huskey Amphib to depart Block Island and deliver supplies to the lighthouse.
