    Glad you like them, Mike...

I'm hoping to catch up to Tim re the paint kits ...as I did previously for the A12A Avenger II Kit I did a year or two ago.

People are requesting these kits as well...

Well I will second that not to mention the venerable C-47 efforts, outstanding work.

Paul, i am still stunned at the level of detail within these liveries, you certainly have given Tim's PC-7 a new lease on life, what a great modeler he was. I only wish we had better helmet textures ... I seem to remember there was a HGU-55 helmet mod done years ago ... Cheers ! Mike

With the PC-7 I really just concentrated on the plane's bitmap [and stores] . What I like about Tim's methodology of mapping a model is he puts it all on one image, so it's easy to keep track of [and change].
The one limitation is if/when the whole plane is mapped to a low-res bitmap....details can suffer. So when I blow them up and redo at a larger format like 4096 there's a chance to add the squiggly bits....even read the notes....

Once you have 'made' a Kit and have your head around what's what, it becomes 'fun' to develop it further by adding/doing paints, sometimes having to work around the oddities/limitations of the texture mapping.

I have Tim's email addy .... so hopefully I can get the OK to up the Kits.....they originated from his, except enlarged and redefined/reworked to suit....

JAFO, I too enjoy your repaints. Great work. Thanks.

If by chance you contact Piglet let him know that some (many...most) of the folks at SOH still enjoy his work and send their regards.

Paul, would love to have a proper PC-7 paintkit, as I am thinking about trying my hand at updating the virtual cockpit and pilot textures. Mike

With the assumption of getting an 'OK' from Tim I've been recompiling the PC-7 Kit ....and with over 50 layers....including main, alpha, spec, and spec alphas it's come out at just under 25 meg in PSP format...but wants to be all of 118 in PSD...
Might have to load it into PSE and see if it can't be 'shrunk'/compressed a tad.

Here's a screenie of it. [I do like my new/big monitor]...

Edit ....Photoshop Elements shrank it to 90 meg ....a bit better...
