Thread: Alphasim's UFO scenery/aircraft/mission pack for CFS2?

    Question Alphasim's UFO scenery/aircraft/mission pack for CFS2?

Years ago Alpha Simulations had a package for CFS2 that included a "UFO" aircraft, along with scenery for Groom Lake (Area 51), as well as two mission files for CFS2 ( http://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/conten...rea-51-Scenery ).

You can download the freeware release of the CFS2 UFO aircraft here -> http://www.virtavia.com/Freeware/ ( http://www.virtavia.com/Freeware/ALPHA_UFO_CFS2.zip ), but the COMPLETE package is no where to be found on the Internet

Would anyone know of a working download link for the complete ORIGINAL package, or maybe have it lying around on your hard drive somewhere? The missions and scenery sounds like a real hoot

Try this, I believe it is the original package:

    That's it! MANY THANKS!

I was using the Wayback Machine Internet archive, and actually stumbled upon that filename, but unfortunately they didn't have that file archived.

    Again, many thanks!

I just realized: The ZIP didn't include the scenery files for Area 51/Groom Lake. Do you happen to have that ZIP somewhere as well? Thanks in advance

There's also the Avenger Flight 19 mission by Charlie Carter.

    Hi Rich,

Sorry, I thought the Area 51 scenery was included. I went into my AlphaSim - Scenery archives and found everything but Area 51. Hmmmm.

I noticed that we have the FS9 version of the scenery here at SOH (ALPHA Groom Lake FS9.zip), but that one seems to crash CFS2. I did notice though that if I delete the "AF2_ATS1.bgl" file in the pack, it seems to load just fine.

That being said, I THINK that the filename would be "ALPHA_Groom_Lake_FS02.zip" for the CFS2 compatible version, judging by an archive of their web page here -> https://web.archive.org/web/20121219...p?dir=/Scenery . Unfortunately all of the file downloads there at the Wayback Machine are not archived.
