Personally I regard the MC.202 one of the most beautiful aircraft ever built. It has the looks of a racer in nice flowing lines. And although it is really tempting to test this example I have my hands already full with 3 Reggianes in the paintshop.....

But a native FSX Folgore is really something to look forward to!

Thank you for doing this model!

    Cheers,
    Huub

    Hi corrado

I'd like to help but probably won't have much time to do any testing till next week.email a link and ill do what I can. Ditto what huub said about 202...was hoping someone would do an fsx native model.

    Thanks everyone for joining.
    Here’s the link: https://1drv.ms/f/s!AsOkEoZddLQEhwjc0Ra0dkV0Cyxn

The plane is Tacpack enabled and has guns and bombs.
Paint is basic; I’m planning to do the camo for both variants next, shouldn’t take long, and search for repainters at a later stage; there’s plenty of beautiful schemes for this airplane!

    Please, report to mc5834@hotmail.it

As I'm not sure that everybody has seen this invitation to beta test this new model, I decided to give a gentle push.

Real life and other obligations do not allow me to spend much time on beta testing, but as its one of the most beautiful aircraft every built I just had to have a quick look. And I can assure you that Corrado's model does justice to the original. I have found some small mapping issues which I will inform Corrado about in an e-mail.

    Cheers,
    Huub

If y'all haven't given it a spin, do so. Damned nice model of a pretty aeroplane. How about some feed back around here for a change?

Some really nice modelling going on here, and Corrado is dialing in the flight model, the latest revision pretty close to bang on the published numbers and written descriptions of the types handling. Had the Regia Aeronautica had better guns and more of these in service, the history books would have been heavily revised. A number of the old boys, Stocky Edwards among them, had commented that the M.202 was the toughest adversary in the Med. It could 'knife fight in a phone booth', but had vice-less diving performance and robustness that permitted exploiting energy maneuver as well.
Smooth render, terrific performance, even on a modest box with an etch-a-sketch graphics card and a pointy stick. Impressive!

Corrado you are in the process of building one fine aircraft. I flew this plane for about two hours under various conditions. As I have never flown this plane in real life I can only comment based on flight characteristics from flying GA aircraft. I noticed that the gauges and items in the cockpit are mislabled although some work as they should. I get a lot of sound phasing from inside and outside the airplane. The flight characteristics seem pretty good just a bit more tweaking needed. The outside looks correct. The cockpit is a little too pasted to look authentic but it is a fair representation, unfortunately it dates the aircraft when compared to today's standards. Overall I like the airplane. I would like to continue testing any changes you make.

    v07 is ready

v07 is out, I think this is pretty much final. #

I wish to thank all of my beta team, you did a great job in testing it and greatly impacted (positively) on the final result.
You are all properly acknowledged in the readme.

    Among the fixes:

    - Flaps working
    - LOD 80 moved farther to LOD 50 and gear now working
    - Glass less dark and a bit more reflective
    - FDE mostly fixed
    - Added detail to filter, exhaust, windshield.
    - (tentative) volumetric prop
    - rivets added in the interior canopy
    - most gauge tooltips fixed
    - Multi Lod added as an option
    - Mostly DXT5 textures

Also two basic “Sand and Spinach” camouflage schemes and Paintkit included

    Happy flyings,
    Corrado

Sound is aliased to the beautiful MC-202 made by M.Villa and available here for download.
Folder is "AerMacchi C.202 FOLGORE MVG_COMMON FILES"
If you don't have it either download it (reccommended) or change the alias to a plane of choice.
