"Time is God's way of keeping everything from happening at once"
Oooooh, lovely!! She will be even lovelier in 4.1 today

Got an email this morning from the guys at Multi Pilot Simulations (MPS), letting me know that their video is out!
Today's pics, some subtle changes....
"Time is God's way of keeping everything from happening at once"
Awaiting new model parts from either Manfred or Jan so I can continue on repairs! The next beta parts have not arrived. My wrenches are waiting to do it's work. Seriously model creations take years to develop it seems. Just look around the forums and see all what is being developed still.
Top Secret stuff is still going on in the DDW hangar.

The aircraft is looking good, but not sure about the pilot. I assume that it would be flown by RAF crews, wearing RAF uniforms? That guy appears to be wearing a baseball cap. Very American.
Den.
Video is at- https://vimeo.com/237079240
Are we any closer to being able to drool in person Ted?

Yes its FSX with MAAM C-47 Air France repainted for the movie "Broken Dreams" documentary. Provided the team with vintage film (FSX) recording and Air France DC-3 artwork for the "Broken Dreams" book.
It was fun working with Suzanne van Leendert!
Also provided the background image for Suzanne.

Booties!!!

The second shot is perfection itself.....

Looking at some photos the roundel needs to be adjusted, although not in these pics.

Hiya,
Check this one out, by Proplinerman at Flickr. Fear the flags need to be adjusted a little (tiny) bit as well.

PS
Another one, sadly in very low resolution:
That maybe different aircraft since Monty's had windows in the cargo doors. He did use about three different aircraft. The link pic is of an early roundel and
the tail markings too.
I just need to move the roundel over more closer to the door hinges. The "K" is different, so that will be changed.
Diffidently need to fix the tail rivets and decals. Also the pictures is at an angle, was using the rivet pattern to measure the decals.

FM Montgomery also use this one (backup) C-47 KN 645. Notice the doors... passenger door on the rear cargo door.
VIP aircraft are kept in excellent condition!

Ted-
YOU'RE KILLING ME (softly).... brilliant mate, looking forward to her.

TuFun, you are a magician! There is only one tiny detail that sticks to my eyes every time, when I am looking at this magnificent bird.
I apologize every person who accounts me as some kind of "those damned rivet counters" and who wants only find issues from
a perfect work. But I find, there will never be such a work, which could not be even better. And now to the point!
Although this modell is nearly perfect and the BEST freeware by far, there is (in my mind) one detail which is wrong. Sorry if
the word sounds harsh and my intension is not in any way to insult anybody and especially Manfred Jahn, who has created
the external lines of this simulated plane. But, after seen Javisīs latest video (in the location 0:59), I dare to claim that the nose profile is little bit to
convex. More closely, the upper part of the cone starts sloping immediately in the point ahead the windshield. Same thing with the cross-section of the cone, which should have more
rounded upper half especially in the point where the vertical rivet line meets the windshield and naturally ahead. These arguments are easely seen in the video, especially in the b/w-picture taken of the
production line. In other words, the cone should be more pointy. What I have said, might feel hairsplitting, but I allege, that
those mentioned details have a very essential influence for the look of this gem.
I dared to write all this, because the plane deserves it!

The video I was talking about was submitted by Javis and was concerning the Multi Pilot Simulationīs new DC-3 simulator.
And the mentioned foto can be seen in the location 0:59.
Sorry for the confusion!
Good point, you may want to PM Javis on thoughts about this.
Here's that photo...

Short video of Manfred/Jan DDW C-47 Beta ?
"Time is God's way of keeping everything from happening at once"
Nah, please don't..... bound to be an endless discussion that leads to nowhere.
@ VesaJuhani :
Is Rembrandt's Nightwatch perfect ?.... Many art historians claim it's not. Is it a masterpiece ? Every art historian will tell you it is. One of the most famous oil paintings in the world. Would it be a sensible idea to try and do away with the claimed imperfections ? Of course not !!
The nose section of an aircraft is usually one of the most difficult objects to model. From my own experience i can say that's especially true for the C-47/DC-3. And in my FS Dakota book i'd say Manfred's rendition of a C-47/DC-3 nose section deserves a master's degree.
That's why i wouldn't even start thinking about going to mess about with it. And i'm about 99% sure Manfred wouldn't either. I mean, why ???....
Maybe, just maybe, another dev will have a go at a C-47/DC-3 model in the near future. I can only wish them the best of luck to try and match the beauty of Manfred's model, let alone try to surpass it.
I mean, just page thru the screenshots Tufun posted above. Can it get any better ?.... I don't think so !
Sorry, VJ, with all due respect but personally i don't think there's anything wrong with the nose section. It's deffinately the one thing that it's supposed to simulate conform the real nose : It's cute !
Cheers,
jan
