    i was due to drive to dayton ohio tommorw for a day spent with hobbit,, god i hope this is not true but just saw on facebook one of his freinds posted he was in a head on motocycle accident about 2 hours ago and is in critical condtion,,, we were due to be on skype earlier and he didnt show which is very unlike him,,,,, that is al lthe info i have and it is 2nd hand please prayers for our great freind,,,, and i hope like heTT this didnt really happen

    EDIT: read through this thread to see why it has been made a sticky for now. Owen is recovering but has been badly let down by those who were supposedly going to act for him. (added by moderator)

    Sunday. Am update

    OK guys here's where we stand I just talk to one of his cousins currently he has multiple facial and leg fractures which will be requiring surgery and pinning for his legs but the good news is MRI revealed there is no brain swelling and he was coherent this morning as I find out more so will you all

    His is still in Intensive Care, but his status has changed from Critical to Serious this morning. It's hard to imagine Owen being too serious, but that's what they officially determined him to be at this time.

    Hey all friends of Owen.. Here is an update.. I'll try to put these out periodically.
    I have spent most of the last 20 hours with him. He is able to talk right now. Note due to a doctor infused adrenaline shot.
    Here is what I know.
    About Owen... looking at lots of future surgery.
    1. Brain and spinal. Neuro surgeon is on it.
    2. Broken face arm and leg... maybe more. Ortho surgeon is on it.
    3. Facial issues... reconstructive surgery to follow.
    Most important he is in positive spirits.
    Please pray! He is not out of this yet.
    Critical means Critical in ICU surgery center
    What we know about the crash.
    Crash on motorcycle at Linden and Xenia ave.
    It happened Saturday night. Preliminary belief is it was not his fault. He stopped a truck (pick-up) head on. (HIt and Run)
    All material life things like "cat-catastrophe" (his cat) and the motorcycle are taken care of.

    Man...I'm glad that Hobbit has made it through the roughest part. The first hours are the worst.

    Please forward my thoughts and encouragement for his long recovery process. It's not easy, but it can be done...one step at a time.

    I've followed the thread since it first posted and have held my breath to this point. We are all breathing a small sigh of relief now and will send every bit of energy towards our friend from here on.
