    P3D V3.2 vs V.3.3

I am wondering if I should update to V3.3. But what improvements biggest improvements to V3.3?

I had the pleasant surprise that on my system it runs a lot smoother than 3.2, most notably when flying in cloudy weather. Then the hotfix cured the texture flickering and I'm happy now.

In my opinion, the only reason not to change is when you need a third party addon that has not been brought up to 3.3 or there are know issues with an addon that you prefer to use.

    Cheers,
    Mark

I'm in agreement with Mark, the big improvement is in the flickering fix. Cloud rendering is very much improved with better performance at high cloud saturations. Overall very smooth and generally improved appearance with NVIDIA drivers on my system.

My install went without a hitch, but I've had a lot of practice in this area.

The only downside would be waiting for peripherals to catch up, but the developers are getting better at bringing those on line quickly.

    I'd give it a recommendation.

The only reason I'm waiting is for TacPack to catch up. other than that, I've seen very positive results reported everywhere I've looked.

I have to third that recommendation. Installing the client only was quick and easy. Flickering gone and cloud performance seems improved. Everything seems error free.

Just a side note, I tried the latest 368.39 drivers from Nvidia but they induced stutters on my rig. Reverted to to 368.22 and all is well!

When I say reverted, I use DDU (Driver Display Uninstaller) for clean GPU driver installs...no problems...so far!

A new TacPack for v3.3 was released a few days ago.

But it doesn't support the hotfix yet. It does seem to work in-sim, but the ACM & TPM don't work.
They should have a new version out very soon though.
