    Outstanding job so far, Gordon!
    LMFAO

I agree Jankees, the Tigercat is looking magnificent.

Oh, BTW, you spelled "know" wrong. It's spelled "no".

    Thanks,
You completely missed the irony of my comment - it wasn't a criticism of you, it was a stab at the punctuation police.

    Update:

I've been down the rabbit hole, converting all of my modeling for the new 64bit platforms.

To answer Yoyo's question, the F7F translated to v4 perfectly. There are some rather extensive tweaks needed for the 3DS Max model to work in the new SDK, but the changes won't affect the existing model in a negative way. The model was built with 64bit taken into consideration.

I installed the new GTX1080 TI GPU this week, so now I can look at making some good video of the Tigercat in P3Dv4 in full immersive mode. The early test edits are very nice.

Thanks for your patience guys, and ladies, my work load is gigantic and the 64bit conversion of the work is a bit like eating a herd of elephants. lol

Gordon, well done! Very good to hear that is running without issues for you in v4. If you ever want any details from F7F "Bad Kitty" it's on the field here and I can grab photos of it almost anytime... Unless they fly out out for winter storage early!

I would dearly love some cockpit details, and other bits like landing gear etc. I'm building a new exterior model as well, so details are in the queue.
I've got four VC models working in the Kitty, one of them based on Bad Kitty photos, but those assets are not comprehensive. Anything would be greatly appreciated and welcome.

    Thanks Rick...

I've been updating all of my work to 64-bit, including the Tigercat VC. Much of the work involves building the new lighting for night ops, and coding the model for the updated SDK.

This is the most recent video, but the work has progressed quite a bit since then. I'll put together an updated vid showing the 64-bit updates in P3Dv4. Since I updated the GPU, video will be much higher quality than this particular vid.

Gman, if you're looking for testers for P3D v4.1, I just downloaded the original conversion and have been flying it, and I'd be happy to help test the 64-bit update. P3D 4.1, Core i7-7700K, GTX 1080.

And THANK you for all of the hours (years!) you've put into this! I just read the topic from start to finish and it's been amazing watching this come together.

    Very nice indeed.

The F7F was/is a favorite aircraft! The original cockpit frame on page one of the thread could be made into a first class Dilbert Dunker!

    Great update project!
