    LOVE IT!

That's AWESOME work you're doing there - it only comes from people like yourself.

    Most admirable determination, my friend.

Thank you. It's high time that the Karel Doorman sails in FS again! (And what a hobby! )

Very true! I have the model, landed on it for a number of times (!) and it looks very fine!

Thanks Huub. When a more matured beta is there, I'll mail you a copy. And Daan: I solved the problem with the welding! The only thing which is bothersome with these kind of problems is the design program. I'm using fsfds 3.5.1. which has a lot of restrictions.

That's because the hull is temporarily of glass to experiment with alpha textures....There's at least two months work to do still.

Does anyone see a chance for a cartridge starter effect like this?

I think you haven't installed the effects properly, because Rob modelled that start up effect very convincingly!

    Hope this helps!

Well ... I thought, I had, but will of course double check! Would be a shame to miss this.

BTW, is there a similar cartridge starter effect for his Gannet?

    That I don't know!

Meanwhile: textured the crane and recreated the front end of the catapult.

    Well, never mind.

I checked my files and all seems to be in the right directories - however, still no startup effet (except one that looks like exhaust flames). Certainly no starter cartridge effect. Can you tell me which file it would be, so I can check if I have it!?

Check the downloaded file. There are effects in the download. Or ask Rob.

    Hi Cees,

Some feedback on the "alpha" version :-)
    - Would lower the antenna's at the back of the boat by default. In flightops they are always down:

    - If possible to put the deck texture in one seperate texture to get more detail in it. For example to split it up in two rows. Don't know how easy or difficult that is in FSDS.

The contents of the fx.effects folder (five files), included in the Sea Hawk zip file, should be placed in the main FSX acceleration "effects" folder.
