I had no idea that the wakes in aicarriers were fixed in P3D v3.2! I just installed Nvidia drivers 368.22 and the micro-stutters have disappeared also!

368.22 works well for me too.

In the past, the wake effect was just a flat object displayed just above the water surface.
When P3D introduced the 3D water surface, the moving waves would move through the flat wake effect, leading to a terrible flickering effect.
Since P3Dv3.2 though, the wake effects can be altered with a new parameter to force them to draw directly on the water surface instead of a separate flat surface. So there's not flickering anymore
