Finally got it working.

I had to modify what I think the install instructions say.

Now to attempt PTO Rising Sun.

Yes, I have tried running cfsconfig.exe before.

Cfsconfig.exe is supposed to run automatically after installation. It does not.

I'm having trouble installing MAW.

Ages ago when XP ruled I got MAW when it was first released and had no problem installing or running the game.

I now run Windows 10 on one computer...

After some un/reinstalls, registry cleaning, voodoo rituals, and short, invictive prayers to the computer gods, my multi installs are now working.

Go figure.

I've recentely upgraded from Windows XP Pro to Windows 7. In XP I had multiple FS9 installs that worked without a hitch.

Now, in Windows 7, the only FS9 install that works is the default...

Try running Game Booster from IObit.com before you fly. It's free and does a fairly safe and good job of shutting down unnecessary stuff running in the background.
