looking forward to this one as well. The Marketplace version will look pretty bare though, especially if it a G.

hehe I used to shop at Smiths too :untroubled: haven't lived in Provo for ~30 years, but I visit occasionally for business.
back on topic... I've been having a blast flying around the Wasatch...
agreed. I don't have too many payware airports but I got this soon after release as I have a connection to Provo as well. Well done, with animated people (lots of clones :untroubled:), excellent...
Quite a frustrating update, with all the looping, deleting, etc. Reminded me of updates 2 - 3 years ago. I gave up last night, but went through more download-delete iterations today and finally got...
what I think is crazy is there's no windshield -- forward view will be synthetic vision systems and cameras.
wonder if/when someone makes it for MSFS

The Northern Sky PHOG is a nice add-on. I fly the islands quite a bit and have most of the 3rd party airports from Northern Sky and South Oak.

yes, that's what I was referring to... the biennial versions, such as FS98, FS2000, FS2002, FS2004, FSX, etc, along with the CFS series which often advanced the base sim's development during that era...
it seems you have to chose the parking spot as the very last thing before starting then it will work. It's baffling how some of these relatively simple things regress. Logbook hasn't updated since...
oh, that does look good. I wasn't really considering this until I saw those VC shots. May have to reconsider.

one thing I've noticed when bringing in legacy sound sets is that the volumes tend to be much louder, so I've had to dial them back in either the legacy sound.cfg or the WAV files themselves.

the tricky part is the virtual file system and the json files. You'll want to get a copy of a utility called MSFSLayoutGenerator to update layout.json file once you have all your files in place.

I wish we had a P-38F-5 to do White 33, it's a great restoration. I've always preferred the looks of the early Lightnings. So far, of the Flying Iron P-38L repaints I've done, I've stuck to...
in between the intermittent communications errors due to heavy server loads I finally managed to do quick flight. I love classic twins and I can tell I'm going to put a lot of virtual miles on this...
it may take days before things settle after such a massive and significant update. After taking 6+ hours to download, I haven't been able to really run for more than a few minutes before getting...
I too use FS9-era pedals with MSFS without any issues

ditto, I've been getting intermittent bandwidth errors in MSFS for last few days (connection and photogrammetry), despite very stable internet coming into my home. I see on the official forum others...
Version: I got the Premium Deluxe or whatever it's called. In hindsight, not sure it was worth the extra. I do fly the Longitude from time to time, and I like to visit KSFO and KDEN from time to...
Surprisingly smooth update experience for me this time, though I didn't d/l most of the world updates yet. The portion from the MS Store downloaded quickly, near my max dl speed for my connection,...
hmmm... perhaps a clue to who's making it for MS? :untroubled:
I'm guessing they'll have a way for those of us (probably everyone) who don't have 8 engine/propeller controls to run this beast. ...
nice screen shots of the Lockheed "Darkstar" model
The glowing effect is a nice touch, wonder if the model gets longer at that speed :-)
I'm in the 'this-doesn't-really-appeal-to-me' camp but...
congratulations on the milestone! -- I'd bet your the sim's most prolific painter!

install went smooth and fast for me. Looking over the release notes I doubt I'll notice much besides the popcorn clouds being gone, which seems to be confirmed now that I'm 20 minutes into my first...
that's some beautiful music!

I think the color is pretty good (I've never seen the P-38s turbos glowing irl but I've seen glowing turbos on automotive engines), I just think it's a bit bright.
Their implementation is...
hehe that was one of the first things I did too after installing the update :untroubled:
I think these things are a matter of preference. I see why they did it, but it was making me a bit dizzy....
