The default weather looks very good indeed.
But "looking very good" is not always the same as "being accurate". The weather we get in the sim right now not only misses quite a few cloud types, but...

Go to your XBox application.
First log out from the app.
Then log in again in the app.
Then try to relaunch your MSFS.
EDIT: I just launched my XBox app to take a look. I get an error message...
Hi all,
Anybody navigates using Tacan in military planes in MSFS ?
It seems it doesn't work for me. I can get the VOR/DME signals with no problems on GA aircraft, but I cannot get Tacan signal on...
Slow updates (always coming several weeks later than the other stores) and encrypted files are the biggest issues.
When it comes to visible weapons, at least some of the addon makers provide some...
The Milviz Huey needs an external program to "configure" your model, i.e choose which optional parts should appear. This includes the doors and the passengers. It was called MVAMS.exe or something...
Ah ok, thanks ! I could finally find your repaints on flightsim.to. Unbelievable how difficult it is to find a repaint in there. Their search system is really bad.
Quick question: with your...
Simple, but superb !
Is that one of the default repaints ? I finally bought this plane during the sales a few weeks ago, but I haven't made a single flight yet :D
Well, MSFS does have "something new" for the military ops: the sceneries.
Sure in FSX/P3D we got some very nice photoreal sceneries, such as FranceVFR or the OrbX TrueEarth. These sceneries are...
DCS is indeed the best choice when it comes to simulating military operations, especially Carrier ops.
However, if we try to stay within the OP's choice between P3D and MSFS, I have a few remarks:
...
Finally...
I'm surprised it took that long to get some military traffic in MSFS, given all the addons we had back in FS9/FSX/P3D...
To think I didn't like the design of the F-22 when it first became active... and nowadays I'm almost in love with it :dizzy: :biggrin-new:
...
I have the F-117 which I bought purely because I love the outlook of that plane.
The 3D model is very nice, the VC as well. The flight model is a little bit special since there are no flaps. I...
On the avsim forums, I think I have seen somebody mentioning the GPS coordinates of the Dune scenery, which is somewhere in the middle of Africa ? I haven't checked if it's correct or not.
Unfortunately it's "Le" ;) And since "ordinateur" starts with a vowel, it's going to the "L'ordinateur" :mixed-smiley-010:
The reinstall has finished, and I will try the plane again tonight. If all...
Reinstallation is in progress.
Before the reinstall, I could at least do a flight without the Duckworld mod, just for a quick check.
After I removed the mod, there were no more missing textures...
Ok I did a bit more testing tonight.
In the past month I had tried to force the Asobo avatars to appear in the cockpit to check how they look inside (to compare their size with the general size of...
I'm glad Barry took the time to answer this, although I'm really surprised by his answer, and kind of disagree with his reply regarding the perspectives stuff. I'd simply like to point out the fact...
That's a plane I would try to fly for five minutes or so, then park deep in the hangar, never to touch it again...
That ornicopter has greater chances to fly more othen, honestly...
Sorry :mixed-smiley-010:
Indeed :ernaehrung004:
Honestly, I think there is no such thing as "designing for VR". None of the aircrafts I have ever used in VR until now, may it be in P3Dv4,...
I'm not sure for the MirageIII but I'm pretty sure the 2000 has been removed because it was an unauthorized copy/conversion of the Metal2Mesh Mirage.
Concerning the Rafale, I think a part of the...
In my case it happens on all sims. MSFS, XPlane12, and also Star Citizen...
My TCA yoke seems to suffer from the same problem, excepted it's for the rudder (yoke twist) axis.
Seems to become better after I slam it at all extremities of all axis.
Why nowadays hardware...
It's a bit hard to reply, because I tend to be cautious about what I *believe* I remember about past sims... :biggrin-new:
But basically:
#1: it's a mixed bag. Happy but not fully happy.
#2: yes,...
All sims are independent and never interfere with each other.
The only time such a problem occurred is between the original FSX and the Steam version of FSX. It never happened with any other sim, or...
Brings back memories indeed ! Although my first experiences in downloading / installing addons in FS was in FS5 and especially later in CFS1 and FS98...
I had a short go at FS4 on a friend's...
