Oh OK - I was expecting to see Scenery and Texture folders. But no problem to build them them. Thanks !
I may be missing something, but these figures appear to be untextured. Is there a Textures folder somewhere ?
"Linkid 29347 does not exist" Edit: Ignore above. Now downloaded.
Oh these are bloody brilliant. Thank you !!

Yep - all those problems (and more) were reported to FCS. Gauges (and in fact anything else which doesn't require changes to the mdl files) should be fixable. Good luck !
I eventually gave up on the FCS Lanc. Although it looked quite nice, there were too many problems. I can't recall how many the patch fixed, but certainly not all of them. I'll bundle up my notes and...
Just came upon this thread. I have converted Ted's Stirling to FSX as an AI model. The nose down attitude is even more pronounced when the a/c flies as AI in FSX - nearer 45 degrees. I eventually...
Just came across this video courtesy FaceBook. Nicely done.

Just as an aside - for those that don't know, Ed Walters (Plane Design) is now part of the very successful Spacex team in the US. No doubt he's still using some of his flightsim skills !
Like many folks, I learnt the hard way too. I now back up the entire PC to a separate hard drive using Acronis backup/restore software. I also take a straight copy of key files and folders...
Fair enough. No Problem.
Just to prove I wasn't imagining this. Turns out it's visible in the external view also. I'm seeing this on two different systems. If I end the previous flight with engines off, this doesn't happen.
Quite possible the sounds are something to do with my setup. I'll look into that. Love the clatter at startup. Question though - should opening/closing the window make any difference to the sound...
It is indeed a nice model. Love the weathering. I have a couple minors:
Ground handling - is not bad, but the turning circle seems too wide. The Lanc should be able to turn round within a 150ft...
The parameters are described in the FSX SDK manual (SDK Manual.chm in the main SDK folder) under "Special Effects Tool" => "How To Place Effects in Flight Simulator" The parameters are listed in a...
Not so. For years there was a train line running across the runway at Ballykelly in Northern Ireland. And there are/were others.
More discussion of runways and railway lines here:

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I don't want to hijack this thread though. Any further ideas Pls PM me !!

I think that's my only option, short of waiting until I upgrade my system, which probably won't be for another year or so. Or until I have a catastrophic failure and have to rebuild.
Unfortunately...
That's a real bummer. Just Flight told me I cannot install on my live system because it (quite deliberately) does not have an internet connection. I have the product installed on my test system, but...
Fattening the tyres and maybe dropping the a/c everso slightly so that the tyres appear slightly flatter on the ground would be a big improvement. No need for tread - most wartime Lancs had smooth...
+ 1. I was wondering what was bothering me about the wheels.
Excellent weathering BTW.
I had similar entertainment. I found increasing the pitch stability in the aircraft cfg to somewhere between 1.5 and 2.0 helped AI flying a lot. Still not quite as I'd like it, but close.
UTX and FTXG is a great combination IMO. As well as the roads, I also disable the railways. And I tweak the water features a bit too.
