Good evening,

Greg,
That's fantastic. I'm glad this solution worked... :encouragement:
Good morning,
I have upgraded my desktop to Windows 10 without any issues; the learning curve from the laptop experience made it much easier, because I knew precisely what to do. :encouragement:
Ravenna,
Being stubborn has its advantages. :p87:
And yes, I am running it right now in administrator mode with no issues. When I upgrade my desktop, now I know how to slay this mother****ing...
Ravenna,
Finally, success. The last step was to make sure to copy all of the start menu shortcuts from one account to another. I used this method, and it worked perfectly:...
Ravenna,
As long as I am in the Administrator logon, not a one. If I'm in my "normal" logon, every single bloody one is write-protected. :banghead:
Ravenna,
That didn't work either. I'm ending up having to run CFS2 under a separate login as a local administrator. At this point, it seems to work normally. But what a colossal pain in the arse.
Ravenna,
Continuing to have issues as the folders are STILL listed as "read-only," so with administrator privileges, I have right-clicked on each folder, clicked on the security tab, and then...
Ravenna,
Cleaning up some odds and ends; I'll let you know soon. :encouragement:
Ravenna,
Update: I think I've got it. I had to go into the command prompt (making sure to select "run as administrator") and type in this: net user administrator /active:yes

Michael,
It essentially boils down to the fact that I can't figure how to turn off write-protection. :dizzy:
Good morning,
Okay, not so much. While the program works okay, new saved mission files do not appear in the MISSIONS folder, however, they are accessible in Mission Builder. In other words, they...
Good morning,
I was successfully able to upgrade my laptop to Windows 10 without trouble, and Mission Builder is working, so far.
Omega,
I'm not sure how to help, except to try seeing if you can run the .exe file in an older OS mode. You can do that with some Windows Operating Systems. :dizzy:
Lee,
My thoughts exactly. No one at my school seems to understand why I NEVER use the cloud, and use USB flash drives, externals, and thumb drives. "Why don't you use The Cloud and Google Docs?"...
Darrell,
There's a big thread on this, but I can't access it until I get home. Can someone assist?
John,
I took care of this for you, my apologies for the delay.
Lee,
No worries. I think after fifteen-plus years, we don't have to deny its existence anymore. Just refrain from saying where you found it is all.
Devildog73,
Take a big wooden mallet, position it over your computer, and begin to swing the mallet back and forth in a hammering motion that creates substantial force. Repeat motion until all...
Baldy,
I just did the same thing. Thanks, Oglivie!
One thing though...make sure you go back into Windows Update and hide the update so that it doesn't attempt to slip it through the five-hole...
