No issue with the crew here during normal flying. Wheel spats are a pain, easier if you zoom in to either front quarter. Anywhere along either gear leg to the top of the tire works here.
Good Luck.

Nope. No mods. I've noticed that the normal scenery appears until I get about 1/4 mile away, then these random red/white blotches show. Then 1/4 away from them, the normal scenery re-appears. I...
This is around southeastern Ma. KPYM and the Cape Cod area. Train Simulator 20xx will do a similar thing (yellow/black) if there are missing textures. I haven't added any scenery or modifications.

Getting these red/white blotches that look like missing scenery textures. But why? I haven't modified my sim at all.

I sure wish I knew how to do that. I'd definitely give it a try.

So glad AH made this for us. It's a delight. I have P3d v4.5 with the C140 update and don't find the beacon objectionable. I wonder what's up? Also, support has been great. Please build some more of...
Many thanks, pilto von pilto. That actually sheds quite a bit of light on this (up to now) obscure topic. I think I'll give it a try, but it may be more trouble than it's worth. No one should have...
OK, all that does make sense. How do you make the yellow/green dds? Is there a plug-in or a process in the paint program? If we can't make the appropriate dds's, then trying repainting is going to be...
Still waiting for Just Flight, too. I wonder if someone can explain the yellow and green .dds texture files and how they are made. Never seen those before.

Absolutely beautiful. I do not have a white nav light on the rudder, though. Doesn't show in a youtube vid or aircraft.cfg, either. Can we fix this?
Many Thanks,

I D/Led the PBR paint kit from Just Flight without issue.

Hi ejoiner,
Well, I still use PS 7.1 on Win 10. I have an update that saves a *.tga with alpha. It is a bit quirky, but does what is needed. When i get a new PC, I install it using the CD I've had...
So odd. 4.00.96 is at Martin Wright's site, but mine clearly states 4.00.97. The *.exe says 4.0.0.97. If I hover over "Download" it states ...dxtbmpnew. I wonder if that's it. Oh well, it works so...
My 7.1 version of Photoshop won't handle 4096x4096. But DXTBmp version 4.00.97 does not resize textures. They're still 4096x4096 where applicable. See if you have the latest DXTBmp.

Man, that's cool ejoiner. Looks like it was made for the C170.

Thanks, everyone! And thanks to Alabeo for making this post-war gem.

I have my red panel in. Looks and works beautifully! Great for either red trimmed c170.
Many Thanks,

I have all those issues with my ver 7.1. But as long as it works, I'll keep it. Always a problem with larger than 1TB drives. I can't imagine why DXTbmp would resize a file. I have yet to experience...
I use DXTBMP by Martin Wright to do it. I usually right click the bmp/ Open With DXT1 Bitmap Manipulator/ Save As dds/ Select the appropriate type. Seems to work very well. My old version of...
Thanks for the tip, ejoiner. I was completely unaware that could be done. I'll have to give it a try.

Unfortunately not. Common is for all models in your folder. The builder tells the model where to look for any specific texture, so the prop (or whatever) would have to be in the specific A/C folder...
