Whats your hardware specs anyway? Because it may or may not be that i have some hardware that is better utilized under Win7 64.

4gb+ and a Win7-64 will make a huge difference over someone running XP-32 with 2gb(or even 4gb).

The difference for me was like day and night. After installing Win 7 i was able to up the sliders...

Yeah DX10 was one big scam IMO.
Seriously they were touting it as a main feature for DirectX 10 and their infamous FSX DX10 Concept picture.... but in the end we didnt even get full DX10.... just a...

Personally i would not pay one cent for a plane without VC.
Its like buying a Big Mac without the meat in it.

Your right it does not make a difference with FSX, since FSX just uses DirectX 10.....barely. :icon_lol:

There is a very simple solution to the problem.

Download and install DirectX, Problem solved.

Personally i dont mind if were without an FS11 for years to come, to finally get to enjoy a FS version to the full without worrying about the next version ;)

High Quality visuals are just as important as the working mechanics IMO.
Thats why i gave up FS9 for FSX, because the HD addons and superb unmatched detail in FSX really makes it feel like your...

Not even professional game companies release patches new games that relate to an OS that is not even out on the market, and you expect addon makers to make fixes prior...

As has been mentioned, memory is the key.
Its the combination of 4gb+ and a 64-bit OS, plus the fact that Win7 is a lot less resource hungry than Vista, that makes it IMO thee ideal OS for FSX....

Reason we overclock for FSX is because if we dont have a top end Core i7 it is a necessity for good performance and visuals.
But i agree, improper overclock will definatley cause issues. Chugging...

well that kind of pretty much defeats the point of having the config then :P

Mmm something not right with that light setup.
For me the light cast on the ground looks very strange, like a series of multiple ovals shapes in some odd pattern instead of a solid form.
