Is that Honduran, Mike ? Consolidated PT-11 ?
Yes. a non-aquatic Laté indeed. over to the USA :icon29:
Yes, Chris, the original had a Fairchild-Caminez motor which was troublesome, so they replaced it with a Wright
Here's something with four motors (of British origin) -(the engines, that is.....)
Boeing XN2B-1 with Wright engine ?
The Chameleon has it ! The last of the great biplane flying boats, and a thing of beauty to those of us who think that way ! :very_drunk:
Well I'll just have to post a give-away photo, then........91678
Sorry chaps - Friday is my busiest day of the week and I got, er, sidetracked !
However it is now lazy Saturday so let''s continue Andy's theme with a nice easy floater.......
Lovely. From one self-confessed floater freak to another, I'm delighted to see this. It's the Boeing 204 Courier from 1928-ish.
Was this a flyer, Kevin ? The strutting is a complete shambles - different numbers and angles on port and starboard - and the whole thing looks just, er, wrong !
Maybe one of you kids (!) will kindly tell me where the Birthday Listing page is, please ? Never seen it.
Yes Chris has nailed this one - it's the Laté 24. Sloppy work from me when I OK'd Dan's answer without checking.
The pic indeed came from Cuny's book, to which I treated myself as a birthday...
That's the one, Dan ! Over to you :very_drunk:
Sorry to have let this drag on - pretty sure Pomme homme knows it -- but one more clue - three Farman 500hp motors, and she was designed for work with mail and passengers in the south Atlantic. From...
Well I thought I had posted a reply early this morning but it has disappeared ! :banghead:
Try again - a floater that has suffered from a vent malencontreux - haven't we all on occasion ??
Well Mike, according to various sources, I think this is F-BBGC, which is a Morane-Saulnier 560, 563, or possibly 570 ! (Think I'll plump for the middle one...)
Have been using the water runway at Biscarosse (the Late's home) and it works a treat. First FS2020 prop that I haven't had throttle problems with, and flies/lands a treat.
Didn't think you would let a trimotor get by you.......:icon29: Over to Texas.
Thanks Chris - indebted to the Larkins book for pointing me in the direction of the Boeing...
This one, although you can't see it clearly, is a trimotor -
Boeing NB-3
I appreciate, gentlemen, your kind assistance here.
After a wee false start, the download and installation went smoothly.
I'm glad to say that the Laté has now had its first test flight from...
Well I've just about had it with this sim. I think it will shortly be junked, and back to FSX.
Bought the Latecoere, seemed like good value. But I will never know - it simply refuses to...
Ahhh, takes me back to my student days in the early 60's when I used to drool over full-page Fender ads in Downbeat. Trouble was, even if you could afford them (I couldn''t), it was impossible to...
Yes, it's right up our Texan friend's street, but he is taking a back seat these days..might take an obscure twin-boomer to tempt him out ...
Just have to dig up something from the vaults, Andy.....:very_drunk:
Southern Hemisphere..
